And, if anyone has met one, her Trill spots are very noticeable right now. She's fairly groggy yet as she wakes up and pulls herself to her feet.]

Hello? [Where... is she?] Julian? Ben? ... Kira? [Anyone?

Give her a few moments, she eventually realizes she's broadcasting.]

Hello, I'm Curz- Emon- uh... [Ughh, she rubs at her eyes and ruffles at her hair, trying to fully wake herself up.] I'm Dax. Ezri Dax, Lieutenant Junior Grade, I'm the counselor on Deep Space Nine in orbit of Bajor.

[He can't help but grin in return, if only for a moment. (And, then a brief flicker of actual sorrow crosses his features, because he really adored Emony and here's living proof that Emony Dax is no longer with them -- sorta and even if it is that far into the future.]

[Emony might have objected, that was a huge part of the joining. The host, in some form, will live on for as long as the symbiont does. And all of her memories, some Ezri tries very hard not to visit ever out of respect, at still there.]

Ezri, yes. [A little laugh.] I know time travel isn't completely unheard of, but I never imagined I'd re-meet someone from a past life.

[Wait-] Oh gosh, the symbiosis commission never took that into consideration.

Well... [Like he has any idea how the symbiosis commission on Trill works. He rubs his chin, shrugs.] Somehow, I'm thinkin' that getting pulled into an alternate dimension full of chronological shenanigans would have ever have occurred to 'em. You'll have to be the one to bring it to their attention. In the meantime, it just means that you get to make all the rules.

[And then she can't help herself any longer.] Emony always knew you'd be a doctor.

[That comment surprises him and suddenly he feels old as hell, what with this fresh-faced kid talking to him about such things. There's a bit of an awkward pause while his lips twitch and he raises a hand to idly scratch at his cheek.]

[The awkward pause is not missed and she takes a breath, holding back a nervous little laugh.]

I promise, I avoid some memories as best I can. That was between you and Emony. And I'll stay away as best I can. Jadzia was just very smug that one of our hosts had called it.

No, don't... don't worry about it. [How to even phrase this?] I don't even begin to try to understand the nuance in joined Trill memories. It's, ah. A bit weird knowing you have all that, when I don't recognize the face.

[A pause. He snorts.] And now I feel old.

[It's hard not to laugh.] You feel old? I have three hundred years of experience rattling around my head. Now that makes you feel old. I mean, one of us met most if the NX Enterprise's crew.

[She just looks a little shocked. But there's a little smile.] Glad I'm keepable!
