Broadcast One

[The video clicks on to a darkened room. Those lucky enough to have excellent night vision will probably be able to see that the camera is pointed at an angle toward the formerly prone and comatose Kurt, currently fidgeting in his bed as though struggling against something. Those not so gifted will have to content with hearing the rustling and soft bumping of the frame, punctuated intermediately by him muttering 'no' and 'get away' in his native German.

The movements and vocalizations of his nightmare become more pronounced until he gasps in the middle of a shout, his eyes flying open. The pinpricks of light vanish with the rest of him as he teleports away.]

Action One

[Kurt reappears in the main changing room of the Twin Roses' bathroom. He neither bothers with a light nor apologies to anyone currently in the area, but makes a beeline for the full-length mirror with silent urgency. And there he stays, half-asleep and staring at himself as though he doesn't recognize the man in the mirror.]

Action/Broadcast Two

[After he's had a chance to wake up a little more and put himself to dubious rights, Kurt makes his way to the kitchen to shut his growling stomach up. As he rummages through the cabinets, he uses his tail to pull up the network and make another broadcast, purposely this time.]

So, how much did I drink, who put me to bed, and who do I need to apologize to?

[She sees the broadcast first and then runs to the kitchen, phasing through a wall and pouncing up to hug him.] Kurt!

[He barely has enough time to brace himself, still groggy from nightmares, before Kitty's in his arms.]

Guten morgen, Katzchen. What are you doing so energetic?

[Castle jumped a little when Kurt suddenly strolled into the kitchen, but he gave his friend a wave.]

Hey, you're just in time for the planet of the fish people.

Because you're out of the coma you rudely went into while Winn is still in a coma, jerk! [Still very much holding on to him, thankful he's awake.]

[Kurt's a little more disheveled than normal--his hair is curling and in his eyes instead of slicked back--and he's noticeably groggy, but he waves back readily enough.

And then stares, unamused.] Fish people. I swear to god if I've woken up in the beginning of a horror movie I'm going back to bed.

I what? [Despite not being fully awake, something chills in the pit of Kurt's stomach. People come back different from those comas.]

Five days. So, shorter than I expected. Are you okay? [He couldn't have new memories, right? Not after where he left off.]

[Castle's heating up some leftover seafood stew; he stirs the pot and checks to make sure it's the correct temperature.]

Want some stew? And so far it's not been too bad- we're underwater, but all of us can breathe in it like normal. It's a trip.

No wonder I'm starving. [He doesn't move away though, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.]

I missed you. I'm also suddenly in a very confusing love triangle that you weren't even awake to mock.

Hey...[Looking up from all this guilt production work.] You didn't say if you were okay.

If there's enough to spare. [Still asleep enough to forget there's always food enough here.

He moves to get down a bowl, glancing over to see what else he needs to grab.] Hmm. Not certain how well going to and from is going to work, with me having fur, but it sounds interesting. Is the water warm, at least?

[Kurt starts to chuckle, genuine warmth in his expression.] Another one? Naughty girl, Katzchen.

Hmm? [The humor fades, the smile turning into one meant to reassure.] Ach, sorry, I just--nightmares, I think.

What do you mean another one? Like I had a line around the ship.

[She leans in to kiss his cheek and then shifts back to sit on the counter.] Tell me about them?

You practically do. Do I get to help you pick attire when you finally make these men into a proper harem?

[The affection helps; to ground him in the dubious reality of the moment, to reassure him that his nightmare probably wasn't real. He still sneaks his tail around one of her ankles.] ..I dreamed McCoy had me on his slab, and Erik was in love with Emma Frost. Not sure which one was more disturbing.

There will be no uniforms and no harem.

[She reaches out to take his hand too, giving it a squeeze.] Never a good dream. [She'd had similar ones in the past. Long ago and then again after Hank arrived briefly.] Raven just mentioned being friends with her world's Emma to me recently. [She shakes her head.]

Oh, so you're saying you wouldn't like to see your boyfriend in one of those flimsy outfits? [Dirty pool, Kurt.

He gratefully wraps his hand around Kitty's, laughing roughly when she mentions the younger version of his mother being friends with Frost.] Gott, that's a terrifying thought.

I just want to see him awake. [She'll see your dirty pool and raise you some dirty sincerity.]

But yes, especially with your track record on dangerous women named Emma.

Wake him up like Sleeping Beauty.

[And then all teasing is forgotten in the wake of the sheer trauma spreading across Kurt's face.] ...The hell did I do to deserve that?!

That's ridiculous. [What's ridiculous is that she is 100% going to try that later now. But for the moment he's just getting a surprised look at his look.] I... I didn't think you'd take it that hard? [It's like they forgot their safe word for rough teasing.]

Forgive me for being utterly terrified at the thought of my mother and my ex-girlfriend getting along. [The sarcasm is accompanied by his hand squeezing hers in silent apology, because he did over-react. Even knowing it was probably a nightmare, he can still hear McCoy's gloating in his ears and it's left him feeling raw on the inside.]

[You know what? She's just going to go full hug again because he seems like he could use it.] I didn't know there were nightmares during those kinds of sleeps. [Yeah, there's some extra worry heading Winn's direction now but she's focusing on her waking friend.]

[He'll accept it gladly, burying his face in her shoulder.] Maybe. Or could be I began to dream when it changed to regular sleep.

Sure, probably tired after all that comaing. You know it was just a dream though. If it was real I'd have kicked his ass.

We'd have decorated the manor for the holidays with his entrails.

[He pauses, then adds quietly:] Good thing I don't spend much time around Hank.

[Vash is always careful to make sure he dresses when he's really sure the crew won't see. His many and large scars are not something most people are going to be comfortable seeing. Not to mention without a shirt on it's clear his left arm is a fake. It's really a common courtesy in his mind. With the doors locked after a shower he's feeling pretty safe. Quickly fluffing his wet hair with one towel and the second around his waist he wasn't expecting any interruptions.

So once again Kurt gives the man a heart attack by suddenly appearing in the locked room with him.]

AHHHHHHHHH!!!! WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO KNOCKING?! [His new crewmate can teleport. Good. Great. Wonderful to now know.]
