Who: Kurt Darkholme
Broadcast: Yes
Action: The Twin Roses
When: Evening 3/13
Broadcast One
[The video clicks on to a darkened room. Those lucky enough to have excellent night vision will probably be able to see that the camera is pointed at an angle toward the formerly prone and comatose Kurt, currently fidgeting in his bed as though struggling against something. Those not so gifted will have to content with hearing the rustling and soft bumping of the frame, punctuated intermediately by him muttering 'no' and 'get away' in his native German.
The movements and vocalizations of his nightmare become more pronounced until he gasps in the middle of a shout, his eyes flying open. The pinpricks of light vanish with the rest of him as he teleports away.]
Action One
[Kurt reappears in the main changing room of the Twin Roses' bathroom. He neither bothers with a light nor apologies to anyone currently in the area, but makes a beeline for the full-length mirror with silent urgency. And there he stays, half-asleep and staring at himself as though he doesn't recognize the man in the mirror.]
Action/Broadcast Two
[After he's had a chance to wake up a little more and put himself to dubious rights, Kurt makes his way to the kitchen to shut his growling stomach up. As he rummages through the cabinets, he uses his tail to pull up the network and make another broadcast, purposely this time.]
So, how much did I drink, who put me to bed, and who do I need to apologize to?

Hey, you're just in time for the planet of the fish people.
Action
And then stares, unamused.] Fish people. I swear to god if I've woken up in the beginning of a horror movie I'm going back to bed.
Action
Want some stew? And so far it's not been too bad- we're underwater, but all of us can breathe in it like normal. It's a trip.
Action
He moves to get down a bowl, glancing over to see what else he needs to grab.] Hmm. Not certain how well going to and from is going to work, with me having fur, but it sounds interesting. Is the water warm, at least?

Because totally best way to get to know new crew members
So once again Kurt gives the man a heart attack by suddenly appearing in the locked room with him.]
AHHHHHHHHH!!!! WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO KNOCKING?! [His new crewmate can teleport. Good. Great. Wonderful to now know.]
A+ way to bond
Also he has a hair trigger apparently, because when Vash yells Kurt whirls around, snarling as he reaches behind himself for one of his swords. It's when his hand closes on air that Kurt pauses, blinking owlishly as he processes what the fuck just happened.]
..No. Do you scream at everything?

When my personal space is being invaded suddenly after showering? Yes. Yes I do.
[Vash hasn't had much experience with swordsmen, but he still knows the motion of someone moving for a weapon. Yet he doesn't flinch as he could clearly see there was no weapon there. He adds that to his mental notes about his new crew.]

After a few seconds more of his brain rebooting Kurt grimaces, and begins to wave at the air with his tail and one hand.] Am sorry about that. If I'd known someone was in here, I would've used the door instead.

[ video ]
You were drinking?
[ video ]
[Kurt sighs, rubbing at the bridge of his nose.] But no. Apparently being comatose gives me a bit of a hangover.

Also couldn't remember anything happening that warranted getting blind drunk.

You are awake.

[There's a small smile on his face for her though, in part powered by relief.] Enjoying this brave new world?
Video
I enjoy swimming.
[Even with the heavy metal in her arms.]

[She might be answering the broadcast, but that's mainly because Makie heard the tail end as she padded into the kitchen herself, stopping short by the doorway as she sees the familiar figure rummaging through the cupboards.]
Hello, Kurt. It's good to see you awake.

Hallo, Makie. How have you been while I was.. being lazy, apparently? [He punctuates with a chuckle, because it certainly doesn't feel like being lazy. It feels like a week of restless nights rolled into one.]

[She doesn't like this place. At all.]
I was about to make some tea. Would you like some to accompany your breakfast?

Still, he keeps it simple and easily dismissed.]
Everything all right?
text
Understandably, it takes Kurt a while to fashion a response.]
I'm not in a coma any more. I assume that's an improvement.
