[For the most part, Misty spends little time on the ship - she's either out at the hospitals helping the sick Dasioe, exploring the kelp forests and coral reefs, or... she finds herself drawn again and again to the ghost town, that place of death.

However, there are two projects she's working on on the Paisley that require her to be around at least every couple of days. One, with all the healing she's having to do, she has to come back to the kitchen periodically to brew up more potions. The second project is less grim - she's trying to recreate the kelp farm that Vision built on the Windrose, so you'll find her in an unoccupied corner of the cargo bay fiddling with a small tank (no larger than your average fishtank) she acquired from the Co'kal and trying to transplant some of the kelp. If she's successful, she might seek out some engineering help to build more tanks, but for now, it's a tiny operation.]

[As Tina was torn between the idea of potentially being cursed and remembering that Stefan had told her it was a bad idea to just toss stuff out the airlock, she'd tucked away the carton of alleged unicorn meat in a corner of the cargo bay and tried to forget about it.

However, one day, she finally decides to screw up her courage and ask someone else about it, and luckily, the someone she'd first thought of was also in the cargo bay. Tina shyly approaches, watching what she was doing curiously, but she waits to speak, not wanting to interrupt.]

[Misty senses someone watching her and looks up, smiling when she sees who it is.]

Hey, Tina!

[continuousgroaning]

[Tina smiles back, then indicates Misty's project.]

Hey. I had something to ask you, but I can come back later if this is a bad time.

[mistyday]

Nah, you're fine!

[Misty sets aside her gardening tools.]

What d'you need?

[continuousgroaning]

[Tina walks over to an opened crate and pulls out one of the cans of alleged unicorn meat.]

Uhm, can you tell if something has a curse on it? Because when I got this stuff, Allen said it might have a curse on it and ever since then I've been afraid to touch it. But I can't just let it sit here forever, either.

[Misty stands up and takes the can from Tina. Her look is very skeptical.]

Now, I've never met a unicorn before but this sure as hell ain't cursed... it's not magic at all.

I think Atroma's just playin' a mean joke on you.

[continuousgroaning]

Oh! Phew. [Tina exhales, nodding.] I think Allen was just trying to be helpful, honestly- he said his ex killed a unicorn and it cursed a kingdom. Or something like that. I wanted to make sure nobody got hurt if they ate it is all.

Doesn't hurt to be careful - you never know, what with all these people coming from all different worlds.

Thanks for the confirmation, at any rate. I wouldn't think Atroma would try to curse me or any of us just for the fun of it, but who knows?

Probably feed it to the crew. I mean, if they're willing to eat it. I think Stefan would, since he told me it's halal, and he said Kirito'll eat anything. I couldn't bring myself to have any myself, though. If there's the slightest possibility that there's unicorn in it... too close to horse for my tastes.

Can't say I blame you - I actually like how many protein flavors I can get here, so I don't have to eat much meat.

[Tina smiles.]

I'm 100% in support of beef, but the protein stuff just isn't the same. Wish I could get some fresh stuff... I'm not as good a cook as Dad is, but I'm sure it'd still taste good.

Yeah? He cook a lot for you?

[continuousgroaning]

Uh-huh. He owns a hamburger restaurant, actually. It's below our apartment, and Mom and my siblings and I all work in it.

I take it y'all are pretty close then?

[continuousgroaning]

Yeah... [Tina sighs wistfully.] My siblings especially. Gene and Louise and I have always been joined at the hip, ever since they were born, so it's been a little hard to be separated from them.

[Misty smiles softly. Even if she never wants to go back herself, she feels for the ones who do, who have something to go back to.]

I'm sorry. I hope you get to see them again soon because you're lucky to have a family like that.

Part of me wants them to show up here, since at least they'd be more entertaining than I am. Mom and Gene would be writing and signing songs, and Louise would be scheming to take down Atroma, and Dad... actually, Dad wouldn't want anything to do with it. It's not so bad here in the Drift Fleet, though. Unicorn meat scares aside.

[Though it sounds like Tina's got a normal life, not like most of the rest of them. A normal life worth going back to. She smiles.]

Just keep up that positive attitude and you'll be all right.

[She's certainly not opposed to approaching someone while they're in the middle of what looks like important work. She peers at the kelp for at least a couple of minutes before saying anything, though.]

Sooooo... what're you doin'?

[Misty hardly ever minds the company - she spent more than enough time alone for her tastes - so she smiles up at Freyja while she works.]

I'm trying to start a kelp tank! We had some on the Windrose where we could grow kelp for food. But I'm not as good as Vision was with tech stuff, so we'll see how it goes.

I dunno much about that kinda thing, but if you're trying, I bet it'll work out in the end! I hope it does, at least. Especially if you get the weird kelp from this place.
