001 ♔ video;
Who: Noctis and YOU
Broadcast: yes
Action: aboard the Marsiva
When: Now
[The video opens up to show Noctis, looking slightly tousled and very cranky. Sure he can sleep anywhere but that wasn't a reason to have him wake up somewhere he doesn't know!!]
Look - whoever's bright idea this was - it's not funny. If someone wants to point me in the direction of who brought me here I'd appreciate it.
[He does seem awfully in a rush to get back. He's not happy about being here, clearly.]
Otherwise, some other answers would be good right about now.
[Fellow newbies can find him aboard the Marsiva, trying to find a way out of here. He doesn't get very far, but he's still stopping to examine various parts of the newbie accessible side areas of the ship. ]

[ Patience is a virtue and she's full of it, fortunately for both of them. ]
You must be exhausted. I should let you settle in.
no subject
[Really, he can sleep anywhere, which is something she probably recalls from their childhood letters and meeting in Tenebrae - though he'd been recovering from an injury at the time.]
Would you really wait that long, though?
[He's mostly joking, but there's also a hint of insecurity. He didn't know what to expect of their current relationship status. Sure, she'd been happy to marry him as he had been her but could they really continue things as they were? He didn't want to put any sort of pressure on her, unknowingly.]
no subject
[ That's a joke... sort of. She's trying, at least, to put him at ease as much as she can, but she knows that all of this must be more than a little confusing for him. He's doing a good job of holding it together, though... he's certainly grown in more ways than just one.
His question, though... her smile actually widens and softens. ]
Longer, if I had to. Do you doubt me?
[ She sure hopes he doesn't, because she's very sincere. Truthfully, she's got no idea how he feels about their current status, either. They'd never dated and had been forced into a situation where they were to be married. She'd been absolutely over the moon about it once she'd gotten over the initial shock, but... she really had no idea how he felt about it all.
Her feelings for Noctis will never change, but for all she knows he merely views her as a friend. Which... that's alright, too. She wants only for him to be happy, and if he is happiest without her at his side, then so be it. He is not obligated to marry her here, after all. ]
You have my solemn vow... I would wait for you forever. No matter how long it took, whether you come to me or if I came to you, I would wait. Fortunately for both of us, we've only a few days this time around.
[ A pause -- ]
This is the longest conversation we have been able to have in years... and while we may not be in person, we are face to face. I feel very privileged to have this chance.
no subject
[He might be flushing a bit now, just thinking of the missed opportunities they had stretched out behind them.]
I just don't want you going out of your way, that's all.
[He looks to the side, avoiding her gaze while he is clearly flustered by the prospect of seeing her.]
So, I'm guessing no Umbra or Pryna this time, huh? Just these devices.
no subject
[ She's going to leave it at that, though, because she doesn't want to step over any boundaries. Not until she knows how he feels, at least... if she's ever brave enough to ask him, that is. She does take note of that pink hue on his cheeks, though, and she thinks it looks nice on him.
Even after all these years, he's still as quiet and somewhat shy as he used to be... ]
I would do anything for you. If you asked it of me and it were in my ability, I would pluck each and every star from the outside of our ships and deliver them to you.
[ She would, too. But she focuses instead on his next question, nodding her head slowly. ]
Correct. They remain at home... but perhaps taking into consideration where we are, these devices may be far more useful than our journal.
no subject
[He's completely without words, staring at her in complete surprise.]
You don't have to go that far for me. Just being near is enough.
[He remembers hearing the words she spoke to Gentiana and it was enough to make his heart stick in his throat.]
Well, then I guess we'll talk more on these. Or we can meet in person more. No Imperial Army keeping us apart.
[He smiles a bit, trying to swallow the emotions he felt piling up.]
I promise, we'll talk in person soon.
no subject
[ It isn't really fair, considering how much time apart they've already spent. This is the closest she's been able to get to Noctis without having some sort of disaster happen -- no gods or stupid Chancellors or elder brothers to keep them separated. ]
Once you are free to leave, we can meet in person every single day if that's what you'd like to do. There is so much that I want to tell you and talk to you about... but I would rather do such in person instead of over these devices.
[ She smiles as well, nodding. It's a nice feeling to know that there's quite literally nothing keeping them apart... save for the Marsiva. But that doesn't count. ]
No Empire... it is still an extremely strange concept. But I suppose that I have yet to get used to the peace and quiet of this place.
no subject
[And he'd be happy to get some time with her that he'd waited twelve years for, to be honest.]
Of course. I was hoping we could talk about... everything. I mean there's a lot we didn't talk about in the notebook too.
[Like the places he'd been, how it felt to face the Astrals... damn he misses their book, though.]
no subject
[ She personally hopes he ends up on the Blameless. Everyone is super nice, and she thinks he'd like it there... not to mention that's where she's stationed. ]
We can talk about everything and anything, I promise. We have much to discuss, and all the time in the world to do so.
[ She wants to hear all about his adventures at home, the progress he's made... she also wants to hear more stories about his childhood after he and Regis had returned back to Insomnia. She wants to hear everything he has to say, really. ]
no subject
[He sighs, actually relaxing a bit and feeling nostalgic.]
Twelve years... I thought I'd feel differently, getting to see you again.
[If anything, seeing her like this was much more preferable to their previous situation.]
no subject
[ She smiles at him, before a brow lifts in question. ]
Did you? How did you think you'd feel, hm?
[ Hopefully he's not too disappointed with her being here. Or how she looks. Or sounds. Or acts.
...She's suddenly realizing she's got a lot to be anxious about. ]
no subject
[Kind of a 'pinch him, is this real?' feeling.]
Which... we do. I don't know, it's hard to explain.
[Absently, he rubs the back of his head, trying to think of how to properly articulate himself.]
I guess it'll feel more real when I see you in person, you know?
[When he can touch her and know she's real, that she isn't just some figment of his imagination.]
no subject
[ Which is a LOT. She's got a lot of apologizing she wants to do first and foremost. For everything, really -- but that's a subject best done in person. ]
Yes... I very much know. This still doesn't feel real to me, to see you here... to actually be able to have a conversation with you.
[ A second chance, indeed, one that she's not going to squander. ]
Has anyone told you about the planet we've been on for the last few weeks?
no subject
[He's really not sure what to expect, but still this all is nice.]
no subject
[ Which is still really weird but it's better than drowning... ]
I think you'll like it, personally.
no subject
[He will catch you the biggest fish ever, Luna.]
no subject
[ ...They can sneak to a more remote place... ]
no subject
[He makes a bit of a face at that. If he can't fish, what is he going to do for fun in a place like this?]
no subject
[ She tilts her head, considering. ]
There are other things to do, though. You could accompany me to see some of the people... there is a disease running rampant here. The med-labs are trying to help by coming up with a cure... I wish I was smart enough to help, but all I can do is sit and hold the hands of the ill.
no subject
[Not to say that she couldn't handle herself just fine, only that he wants to make sure he doesn't make the same mistake twice. He won't lose her again.]
no subject
There's more than just talking with people, though. There is shopping, dining... all sorts of tourist things to do as well, things that I will be more than happy to show you as well.
no subject
[As well he should.]
no subject
[ As a matter of fact, as picky as Noctis is, she's got a feeling it's going to be nowhere NEAR Ignis' cooking. But she's just looking forward to spending time with him, crap food or not. ]
