[Makie has been more withdrawn around the ship since it fused-- there's too many unknowns, all of a sudden, it's a little bit disconcerting to us shy types-- but she can still be found in the kitchen each morning with her ginger tea. She's stopped using the cargo bay for shamisen practice and weapons maintenance and taken both activities back to her room, so.

[Luckily, what's better to appraoch the unapproachable than an animal and there's quite a few now on the Twin Roses.

The one that approaches Maki today is a small orange tabby, clearly in that awkward middle stage of not quite being a kitten, but not quite being a full-grown cat either.

He walks into the room like he owns it and everyone in it and hops up onto the table the woman sits at with her tea. When Pounce looks at her, there's a spark of intelligence in his green eyes and he seems to study her for a moment...

[Makie lifts her head to examine the cat with curiosity over the lip of her cup, smiling faintly as he begins to wash himself. Cats have always been the most curious creatures, and far less intimidating than dogs.]
