[and while he has never expressed anything resembling genuine interest before, he certainly seems to mean it this time. with one hand on the edge of the table, he leans his whole body closer--still full of fever.

he just picks up where he left off before she pulled away, his mouth dipping in near her jawline... and a low rumble drums up from deep in his chest.

[There's no denying the thrill that goes through her when he puts his mouth right up against her, when she can feel his body heat mixed in with the feeling of all that magic and power radiating him. It's intoxicating, and that purring sound he makes draws an unexpected shudder from her.

She's not ashamed to realize it's arousing, or to accept that in a different situation she might be interested in sleeping with Tek. It would be something that would take time, that would require he actually take it seriously, which in itself is very likely the reason it would never work between them, but right now?

She puts her hand on his chest and eases him back, not minding if he sees that she's a little flushed now from all that.]

It wouldn't be terrible, but I don't think I'm really what you want at the moment. You'd be better served with someone who won't expect a commitment afterwards.

[it's a perfectly reasonable response, and a completely accurate one, but Tek has never been one to be convinced easily. especially not with this kind of delirious focus.]

But you are what I want at the moment. [he leans against her hand as he speaks, applying easy, insistent pressure.]

[Her tone is just so dry when she says it, and her hand keeps him exactly where he is. Sure, his purring is sexy and she doesn't hate the knowledge that he's attracted to her, but there's no way she'll let anything happen if that's his suggestion.]

Don't make me shock you, Tek. It'd make giving those herbs to you entirely pointless instead of just moderately pointless.
