I see familiar reflections here as well, but that alternative still bothers me more. Besides, people usually find familiarity comforting. [Tek's answer needs more elaboration, basically. Did he come from a world like this? Or was there a particular element of it that grated?]

Just how familiar are these reflections, however? Do you not see little details that are just a little too eerily familiar for coincidence?

...If I am alone in this phenomenon, I don't know whether I would be comforted or unsettled by the fact.
