[well, he's certainly not going to be buying any weapons with his charming personality.

case in point: at the comment, he gives Hawke a look--several seconds of dead-eyed silence before he simply reaches forward to turn the other man's modulator on. without, you know, asking or anything.

[unbothered is good. he won't be bothered if the other guy's not bothered. and he seems perfectly willing to dive into "conversation" now that said unbotheredness has been established, insistently shaking his head and gesturing--vaguely--sweeping a hand over his head.

doesn't like helmets. doesn't like things on his head. and it's not hard to imagine it would get in the way of that skull... thing.

then he gestures something completely different--a set of signs with his hands. though, if Hawke doesn't know ASL, they're probably completely useless to him.]

[ Having never before seen 'America' as even a collection of letters does dent a person's likelihood of ASL awareness, unfortunately. He has enough means to work out that it is a set of signs and therefore language, but that's as far as it goes. ]
