this is a mingle for everybody, whether they're hiding in the volcano, out and about in the city, or up on one of those random random stations where you can get quirky souvenirs.]

[he sits. he listens. it reminds him of the tower, its lobby, how it used to be just a few of them keeping busy in that space... he tilts his head a little, considering.]

I like strings. I think my crew would kill me if I got a drum. Wind instruments are out.

[it was a very, very different time. with his eyes down on the strings as he plays, he can't help thinking about it as well.

but then Robin's suggestion causes a rather hilarious image to replace it in his head, and he huffs a breath through his nose.

it's a scoff, though. totally not a laugh.]

[that's okay. Robin laughs for him.]

You imagined me playing the flute, didn't you. A little penny whistle, maybe.

[he shakes his head, and takes one hand from the harp so he can mimic playing a slide trombone.

it's only a halfhearted pantomime, of course, because he doesn't want to be too silly.]

[the shop owner is probably going to give Robin a strange look for suddenly laughing after getting no audible answer--but he thinks that mime is about the funniest thing he's seen this week. ah...]

I know how to play one...! I'm not kidding.

But that's--definitely not my style.

[he shrugs up his shoulders a bit, because he doesn't think it was that funny...

he'll just go back to playing so he doesn't have to dwell on it.]
