[Ever since the rumors have been popping up, Okita has been going around the ship and removing all of the ones that relate to him. He wakes up early in the morning, scours the ship, removes whatever he can find, and then jettisons them into space. It happens again around noon and one more time before he sleeps. So it might seem strange that while everyone else has rumors about them on the ship, it seems that "Soujirou" is severely lacking.
Until Saizou is sitting in the middle of the hallway, chewing on a dropped piece of paper that reads:
--is lying to everyone he meets. His real name is---
Or
--won't make it past Season Four, I bet.
Or
Soujirou is secretly in love with--
Okita has just come back from jettisoning the rest of them when he sees your character with the fragment and freezes.]
Oh, I'm sorry. Did Saizou take something of yours?
Wildcard
[Anything else? Hmu]

As he glances to Soujirou, however, he smiles. It's not an entirely nice smile]
I was sincerely hoping not, but this doesn't look like any of my notes. Who is it that you're in love with?
no subject
Crap.
He wants to grab that paper back, but instead he kneels down to call Saizou over - that betrayer. Time to play dumb.]
Is that what it says? How strange.
no subject
[He's entirely willing to believe this is some trick of Atroma's but Soujirou's discomfort, in any case, is mildly amusing]

First, I would have to keep a personal journal.
[Saizou trundles over and Okita scoops him up, cradling him in his arms as a buffer between him and the truth. Then he comes over to look at the piece of chewed up paper in Felix's hand.]
Aw, that doesn't even have the important parts on it! [He knows the answer, but l m f a o not telling.] Is that all it said?
no subject
It would see so? Were you expecting something else incriminating?
no subject
[He can joke now that he can see that nothing truly important is written on there. His real name or any clue to the other papers he's been burning are conspicuously missing.]
Have you found any interesting ones about yourself?
no subject
Oh, no not that I can tell. I just saw him chewing on this and figured it was a bad idea.
[She shrugs. She had only glanced at the paper and wasn't sure if she should ask him about it.]
no subject
[Okita reaches out and takes the paper, giving it a quick glance before crumpling it up like scrap. He definitely doesn't need her asking about it, but since the important parts were missing, he could just...pretend it wasn't his.]
He's not used to being trapped within walls.
[Saizou grunts and starts snuffling, looking around for something else to chew on.]
no subject
What's his name?
no subject
Saizou. He's still a baby in his own way, but also very mature in others.
[Oh look, Maggie's shoe looks like food. Time to chew on that.]
...Except for right now. Saizou!

It's alright, I grew up on a farm. Pigs... cows... birds, the whole nine yards. My daddy's family had been raising them since before I was born. He's not botherin' nothin'.
[Cautiously, she scritches along the fur on his back, hoping he'll at least stop trying to eat everything and enjoy some attention.]
no subject
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh. The piglet freezes and then melts under Maggie's touch, easing himself down to lie on the floor. Okita blinks in surprise and then lets out a small, quiet laugh.]
No wonder he likes you so much. So your family were farmers then? Did you help them raise the livestock?
no subject
I did. I took care of horses and some of the smaller animals like pigs, like this guy here. My father was a veterinarian too so when they got sick, I'd help him treat them since he taught me how. It's kinda come in handy, since we have a few animals on the ship now.

[An Evee, a cat, a pig, and a panda, according to his last count.]
I suppose now you can turn your attention from people to caring for the Goldstone's newest menagerie, hm?
