So, I know that the Fleet gives us money and there's no reason for me to really work the way I used to. But I also don't want my skills to go to waste. Perhaps you would be willing to share me your story? A part of it, happy or sad, good or evil. You can change it or even make it up as you go.

Or maybe you could tell me what kind of stories you'd like to hear about? What makes your heart soar?

Uhm, yeah. It's how I made enough money to support myself and my mother. But I enjoy it too.

I have read stories in books. [?? Another statement that's weirdly frank and obvious, but he announces it like he's charmed.] It sounds wonderful to be a person who tells them aloud.

[Another kid. He should be getting used to this by now, but he isn't. At least this time he can't stay upset for long. He sees the shamisen, he sees the origami, and he can only smile a little. It brings him memories from home that feel forever ago.]

Flying makes my heart soar. [He chuckles when he realizes he made a pun without meaning too (this time).] All my stories are about space - if you don't mind more of that, I have one about lions.

[Hopefully the kid hasn't become sick of space yet.]

The space I come from has been under attack from an evil empire for more than ten thousand years. But the Alteans, an extremely advanced alien race, created something to protect the universe from them: five lions that together form Voltron, the ultimate weapon.

[He pauses while trying to think of how to describe the lions for him.]

Have you seen the fleet ships from outside? The Voltron lions are a bit like that, huge and metallic. But they also have some consciousness in them. It's the lion that chooses its pilot.

[Stefan's expression softens. No matter how long he's been out here, he still misses his loved ones.]

[Sam could never really give his story without feeling vain for what he did -- the full story, anyway. Even with all the progress he's made, feeling worthier and like he isn't a monumental failure, it's still a sore topic, jumping into the pit. Stopping the devil. He doesn't like taking credit, because he failed to control Lucifer on his own, and he failed to protect everyone until Dean could remind him what he was fighting for. Lucifer would inevitably escape.

He smiles a little. Maybe if he changed it up a little.]

Stories about family... the good and bad.

Family working together to stop something really, um... evil. You know? Maybe one of the family members is working toward redemption of some kind... and feeling like maybe... he did get that redemption, at the end.
