Some days I wake up and stare in the mirror wondering who the man behind those amber eyes really is. I am a shadow of my former self, a monster. Yet, I believe I need to think that I'm good enough for myself, otherwise I would just get lost in the abyss of hate. A man needs an ambition to drive him onwards. I became Chancellor to the Empire back home in Eos. The job has been keeping my body and mind active, whilst trying to fend off the daemons inside.

[Partly true. Yet, it hasn't stopped him from lying and being manipulative, due to his hatred and lust for revenge. Many have died because of him.]

[ Kubo isn't sure. Revenge is dark, dangerous. It eats away at a person the longer the thought exists, dwelling in one's heart. He had it for a short time and that time was long enough. Even now, there are tendrils of anger coiled within him. ]

I think you want to be good enough to finish what you started. But you don't know how to live beyond that.
