Who: Lioriley and, you guessed it, YOU
Broadcast: Fleet-wide
Action: Marsiva
When: 03/17 - 03/21 idk how this works ok.

[ waking up in a bed you know for certain isn't your own is alarming. alarming enough to fall off the bed comically and firing up the audience you have no idea is watching just yet? not quite. lioriley isn't so graceless that her introduction to the new world of space is actually entertaining to watch. she wakes up, groggy and confused, and then slowly slides from the cot and stands there.

and... continues to stand there. for like five minutes. just looking around at everything that should be confusing to her but isn't. how does she know what those light fixtures are called? how does she know that the weird thing in her pocket is a communicator meant to access the 'network' of people that could be watching her every move right now. how does she know that?

the dark elf finally moves, spins around on her heel and faces one of the windows nearby. she knows she's on a ship, in space, and she's staring at billions of stars against an endless sea of black. she knows that... and yet its still so foreign. ]

How did I-- [ she starts to ask no one in particular about her predicament, still staring somewhat vacantly out in the depths of space. ] Can anyone hear me? [ SHE KNOWS YOU CAN!!! ]

action:

[ after the initial surprise of waking up and talking to... whoever decides to speak with her, lioriley ends up wandering the ship, searching for anything and everything that might be of particular interest. she doesn't seem all that alarmed, outwardly, though she does seem a little tentative still as she aimlessly meanders about the ship.

anyone that wants to approach her is free to do so. it's likely she'll do the same for any other passengers unwillingly thrust into the ship recently; asking questions about what they know (do you suddenly understand what's going on isn't that weird?), where they came from, and probably what the hell they're supposed to do now. come be confused with her! :D ]

We all have one, yes. As far as locals go... there aren't any on the ships with us. Everyone in the fleet has been pulled from another universe.

[She sounds very disapproving of what she's about to explain next.]

Right now, we're orbiting a planet where the inhabitants are unaware that anything or anybody exists outside their own land. They're kept here by another race that purposely keeps their society from advancing so visitors can receive an "authentic" historical experience. This isn't typical of most planets the fleet visits, or so I'm told. I've only seen this one so far and I can't say I like it much.

[She sighs.]

Nothing much we can do, I'm afraid. We can only stray so far from the main ship, and Atroma will be moving us to a new planet in a month. Starting a revolution is one thing, but rebuilding in the aftermath is another.

[Beverly definitely notices the fluctuations in Lioriley's skin markings, briefly wondering if they are part of this species communication. Their translators only handle the verbal, after all.]

Maybe. [She doesn't sound too hopeful.] If we had some outside help. Unfortunately, we are in a frighteningly similar situation to theirs, except that we know, to an extent, what's happening to us.

Agreed.

In the meantime, do you have any more questions? I know this is a lot of information all at once. If you need time, I understand. You can always contact me later, on the SS Blue Fish.

You're welcome. [She offers a small, amused smile.] Getting answers when I first arrived was a bit like pulling teeth, so hopefully I can make the transition a little easier for you.
