[ The feed opens up in the Red Fish's cargo bay, a large crate opened up and its contents strewn on the floor almost like they're being sorted. Some of the labels can be seen and they're odd flavors and they're followed by some commentary as Carl picks them up. ]

Honey avocado? Cayenne chocolate? Eugh.. Black licorice??

[ The video shakes as he turns the camera around to frame his very confused expression. ]

So I guess this is one of those sponsor drops? I'd say thanks to whoever, but these are... weird. So I guess if anybody wants weird flavored pudding, come to the Red Fish. [ There's a little shuffling as he picks up a sheet of paper and waves it.

It came with one of these, which a lot of people have been getting.

Carl Grimes likes to yell at people when they're asleep.

It's not that much when you're really hungry.

Suppose it depends on just how quickly you eat it, though. If you're hungry enough to eat that much pudding, eating that much pudding is probably a bad idea.

[ He shrugs. ] It was good at the time..

[ It had been a long time since he'd managed to get anything sweet like that, and it was kind of a stressful situation. ]

Maybe a little more restraint if you do try the cayenne though.

Beats me. [ He holds up a container with the flavor coconut curry clearly printed on it. ]

No, thanks. I wouldn't be able to taste it, anyway.

[Which might be a blessing in this case, but also probably takes the fun out of sharing it with her.]

[Billy happens to be passing through after one of his system-check rounds. He takes one look at the crates and shakes his head.]

At least it's edible? For a certain value of edible. Have you tried any yet?

[Billy has been accused of being a Martian, accompanied with rolls of tin foil and gag antennae. He's disassembled a few of the antennae for their coils, and he now carries those in a bag.]

[ Carl looks up at him from his half circle of pudding, making a face. ]

No, not yet. Thinking about it, though. Hungry?

[ He picks up a pudding and waggles it at Billy. ]

Honey and avocado don't sound terrible??

[Billy nods. He'll consent to that one, and he grabs the spoons.]

Much better than black licorice as a pudding, anyway. It might even be on par with the usual food.

These rumors aren't flying about all the time, are they?

The texture is a little better, at least. The protein is a little weird sometimes when it doesn't match.

[ Carl offers a shrug at that. ]

Dunno. I don't think so? I mean, they haven't while I've been here. A lot of them seem pretty stupid, anyway.

That's a relief---on both counts. But beggars can't be choosers, even if it's not by our choice...

[He takes a taste and scrunches his nose.]

It's not completely terrible? I've had worse meals. Not many, but I've had them.

[Cas hears some of those flavors and, honestly, should they sound weird to him? He comes over, peers at a few of the containers.]

I'm told that spice and chocolate can go well together.

[ He cranes to look up at Castiel from his position on the floor. ]

Are they? I've never tried it, but it sounds pretty awful.

I have been told that the spice is a good counterpoint to the chocolate's richness. [A shrug.] I haven't tried it either.

[ Well, that just gives him cause to hold one of them out for Castiel to take. ]

I... Uh... [Fumbling a bit. Hadn't expected that.] Don't need to do that.

[Asuka's wandered over from parts unknown-- or at least her room-- and is now occupying herself with opening the containers, a spoon in her other hand. Weird flavors or not, she's prepared, if not hungry.]

Do you even like pudding?

[ Come join him in trying these weird flavors, Asuka. He'll even make a little more room in the ring of puddings. ]

That's the only rumor that was true.

[Asuka sticks her spoon into the the cayenne chocolate pudding without hesitation. Of course, some of her fearlessness might be due to a diet that, up until the fleet, was relatively limited.]

What flavors? [She takes her first, but not only, swallow. The taste is kind of... weird. Hot. She runs her tongue over the roof of her mouth several times, frowning.] I've only ever had what we get when people get dumped here.

There's a lot of them. Some sound better than others. There's avocado honey, black licorice, peanut butter curry, yam, cayenne chocolate, coconut curry, and something called durian. I don't even know what that one is, so I'm not chancing it.

[ He pulls one of the yam-flavored puddings toward himself and tears it open. It smells a little weird, but he takes a spoonful, anyway. ]

..It's kinda weird, but not bad. Like a really creamy sweet potato.

I meant what flavors do you like?

[Sweet potato, huh. She's not the most prim person, but she at least makes sure she's not lapping at the spoon. The hot-sweet mix is still pretty intriguing to her, though it probably should taste awful.]

I've never had a sweet potato. Most of what I've had is artificial.
