[When Castle turns the feed on, he has a mischievous grin on his face... and is sporting a very, very 80's pink mullet wig. There's also a glittery star sticker on his cheek, and he adjusts the wig before holding up another one.]

The sponsors have sent me a bunch of stuff to help me realize my long-buried dream to be a glam rocker. Should I go with the Jem-esque pink wig, or would I look more fetching in this neon green? Oooh, ooh, or I could put on some facepaint and carry around this inflatable guitar and get my Gene Simmons on.

I have a whole crateful of wigs and makeup to go around, so, hey, if anyone REALLY wants to make it big in this asteroid belt as a musician... a costume might help.

I've never really had glam-rock aspirations but who wouldn't want to get their Bowie on given the chance.

That era produced some great music, after all. Maybe it will catch on here... or they might reject it. It's a thrilling mystery.

I can't argue with that. [ Though she's not at all from that era. ] Clearly, something you've got to get to the bottom of.

And I'll be able to do it with style and grace, at least. ... hey, they even gave me body glitter! Although my shipmates might not like it, since they might be finding it in little nooks and crannies for months.

[ Elena laughs at that. ] Oh yeah, they'd be finding it everywhere. Glitter has staying power.

My ship does have cleaning robots, but even they might not be able to find it all. And it would drive them crazy, and I'd hate to get on their bad side.

You'd end up doing your own cleaning. [ She smiles a little, joking. She's not sure if the robots have a bad side or if they're all machinery and computer chips. She's curious now about the AI abilities and possibilities of the bots now. They're in space, almost anything seems possible. ]

And the bots would come after me when the robot uprising happens. Of course, they wouldn't be able to DO much, but I try to be kind to them anyway.

Well, it is the plot of most sci-fi novels so...probably. [ She grins, almost laughing as she says it. ]

Plus, who knows what these ships are capable of. For all we know they can transform into giant robots, under the right circumstances.

Now I'm going to have the transformers thing stuck in my head. Cartoons aside, that's actually pretty terrifying.

It's something I've been considering, since four of the ships merged into two not too long ago. It really gets the imagination going, not necessarily to pleasant places.

Wow. Yeah, that certainly lends credit to the whole story.

They did so without warning, too. I was on one of them- it wasn't a pleasant experience. I mean, nobody was HURT, but it sure was something to be heading at full speed toward a collision, then suddenly your ship had mushed together and your crew doubled in size.

Well, at least no one was hurt, but I can imagine it was scary. Have you all settled now? Is it better than before?

Yeah, we're all good- we gained a garden and some roomier quarters. My cleaning bots had a fit, though- they had a lot to straighten up.
