shiny canon update!
Who: Axel and anybody
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: On the Tourist, in quarters if you want
When: Thursday, 19March, afternoon
[Broadcast]
[He looks... really unsettled, like he just watched something awful happen and doesn't even know how to process it. In fact that's pretty much exactly what happened: he awoke with a start from a dream he's sure wasn't a dream--he remembers it like it happened, like memories... but it's been hours, not the year-plus he experienced in that dream. He's still trying to wrap his head around everything, and that's when it hits him: he died. And Roxas is gone. Not just gone from the fleet, he already knew that part, and it suddenly hurts a thousandfold more than it did before, because Roxas had been here and now he's not, and now Axel knows he's gone for good. Suddenly he feels like he wasted an opportunity, and he has no excuse other than ignorance.
[He rubs his arms--it's strangely cold in here, it seems--and regards the feed on his communicator. He just needs to get his mind off this.]
So, Fleet, I'm curious: is there ice cream wherever you come from? What's your favorite flavor? Gimme your best ice cream story, I'm bored.

Nah, you can just use a regular oven. The trick is what you cook it on! [He wags a finger importantly.] She had this round stone baking pan she'd spread the crust over, instead of a metal one, and it made it crispy on the bottom, it was awesome.
Phew, I really miss pizza.
[He pointedly refuses to mention missing home, or his family, because if he even considers thinking about that it'll be too much. He hasn't been home in over ten years. He's not going home until he puts right a lot of what he helped put wrong. He can't think about home.]

We should find some. It may be a long search, but we'll surely find something if we look together.

[He grins at her suggestion, and gives a nod.]
Sounds like a plan. We'll check every planet and way-station we come to until we find the perfect pizza. There's gotta be at least one somewhere in space.

I like the way you think, Nunnally. I'm sure I can look up the ingredients somewhere, but yeah, it's that stone pan that might be hard to do extempore. I think a couple of ships in the fleet have cooks, don't they? Maybe someone will have an idea.
[He's not much of a cook, but this kinda sounds like it could be fun.]

And... I like projects like this. In this place we have nothing but time on our hands. The idea of truly creating something here is an encouraging one.
