[Right, Jusis may not be too familiar with this technology, but it's worth a try to see if his 'captors' are watching, or maybe just guarding him somewhere. Just a hunch he has considering he's in a place he's never seen before. This is not a fun game to play and he sure as hell was in his manor before this happened.

So he stands up taut, confident as he calls out:]

To whoever brought me here,

I believe you have kidnapped the wrong person. If it is a ransom you seek, rest assured that you will not receive it. Bareahard can not be without me right now and I demand that you return me at once.

[Sounds like a typical thing a snobby noble would say. People actually paying close attention probably noticed he has the confidence in a leader as well as a look that clearly shows he's not backing down or bluffing.]

Action

[And he's not going to stand around either. He'll be looking around the ship. He's not sure how he feels about the automation of this place -- it feels lonely, something Jusis is all too familiar with in his manor. Since he can't exactly sit down and work, he's looking out the windows, wondering why it's so dark. Space? Bah. What a childish thing to think.

At the very least he'll be hunting down a halfway decent meal and hopefully tea. He won't go for coffee. At all. Either way, he seems comfortable sitting by himself in the cafeteria and eating his food.]

[Congratulations, Fleet, you've managed to actually shock Fie. So here she is on the broadcast, eyes wide with surprise, taking no measure to hide it in her voice.]

Jusis?

[Well, isn't this a rarity to see Fie get caught off guard...

...then it registers that Fie is responding to him. Perhaps his first line of questioning was incorrect, then.]

Fie, please explain what is going on.

[No 'nice to see you' or anything of the like. If anything, his expression doesn't betray his normal demeanor which is near cold and unreadable.]

[One thing she appreciates about him is his ability to simply get down to business, especially when it's called for. Like now.

Plus, he said please.]

Sure. But I'll say off the bat that I'm not kidding about any of this.

[Another sign something is very different.]

We're not in Zemuria anymore, let alone Erebonia. Or on our world. We're in space. [She gives that a moment, but continues before he can cut in.]

Right now you're aboard a spaceship called the Marsiva, the main ship in the... fleet. I'm on a smaller one called the Wonderduck. Don't ask, it's a weird name. At the end of the week, you'll be sent to a smaller one, where you'll live and meet your crew. You're also stuck with an enhancement type deal called an augment which assigns you to a station. I'm security. Stop for a moment, and yours will just come to you.

Everyone else on the fleet are from different worlds from ours, so lives back home only hold so much bearing. [Meaning your nobility won't get you anywhere, so remember that. It's a subtle helpful hint she knows he'll understand.] You'll see things that'd be weird back home, and things that're normal for us can be weird to others here.

Also, we're on a "reality show" so we're told our lives are being broadcast for an audience to watch for entertainment. We get paid based on the ratings we each generate. Easy money, at least.

[Fie stops, exhaling lightly. Her speaking so much isn't usual, but it's necessary now.]

You won't have your sword, but you might have your ARCUS, minus all your quartz. I've got mine.

I know it's a lot to take in, and I can't talk to you in person right now, but I'll help how I can until then.

[Fie's head is usually in the clouds, but Jusis certainly knows it's beyond her to fabricate this much-- at least on her own. That and she's not a gullible person, so at the moment, he only can take it as what it is: the truth.]

So am I just supposed to magically know my augment? [Of all the things to be sarcastic about, he chooses that. However, he pats himself down and notices he does have his ARCUS unit... without quartz.]

At the very least I have no reason to not believe you. What I'm seeing lines up with everything, so I suppose I'll just stay here until the end of the week and be assigned to a ship.

[He's seen enough shit in Erebonia he'll believe this. Except the 'reality show' part...]

So why exactly are our lives now a form of entertainment for someone else?

Yep. [Fie pauses, correcting herself.] Well, technologically is probably more accurate. Really, try it.

You can always transfer ships later if you feel the need. [She doubts he will.]

Wish I knew. It's one of the many things we're in the dark about. But once you're off the Marsiva, you'll be able to visit the system we're docked at. This one's located inside some asteroids. Kinda neat...

[Fie moves her comm away from her to pan out to the scenery around her. Jusis might notice she's wearing a different outfit than usual before a cafe window overlooking a nice town is shown. It stays like that momentarily, then it's back on her.]

There are places to stay out here, or you could just sleep on your ship.

[Fine, Jusis will just be still and listen or something. He's a little unnerved when he does get something.]

Does 'Communications' mean anything to you?

[His voice has a hint of defeat in it, but more or less just a slight bit of annoyance. He's quickly back to his normal stone cold self.]

Though I suppose I will just look around then until I can come aboard a ship. I see no point in idly waiting for something to happen even if that's what I must do.

[That makes Fie smile, not smirk. She's resisting that for now. To be nice, of course.]

Mhm. That's one of the augments.

[She nods in understanding.] You should be able to go back in the broadcast history to read or watch stuff if you'd like. Might give you a better idea of things.

I suppose I'll do that while I'm waiting here. It gives me something to do at the very least since things seems wonderfully lively here.

[Well, at least he has enough humor to poke fun at the situation a bit. Maybe he needed a break, who knows?]

Sounds like a plan. You might find something interesting.

[He can probably tell from her tone and demeanor, she's actually a little relaxed right now. Maybe it's something about a familiar face.]

Perhaps so. Though I find it ironic that I must use that as a source of entertainment for now, even if it would be rather informative to go through the archives.

[They're entertainment, and he's using it for entertainment. Entertainment-ception.]

Enjoy it while you can, I guess.

[But she knows what he means.]

In the meantime, I'll work on getting you a decent sword. Figure you'll want one.

Yes, having one would be useful. I suppose I should thank you for the sentiment.

[And he means it. An ARCUS unit with no quartz and no sword is no good.]

[Fie shrugs, not put off by his usual ways. She knows him well enough to be aware of his sincerity.]

It's hardly sentiment, I've seen a couple choice weapon shops on the more lawless asteroids. Another decent job or two, and I'll be able to manage a decent quality purchase.

[Without going broke herself.] Besides, I'd do it for anyone.

[Of Class VII. That part goes unsaid.]

[He gets what she means. There are few people he'd go out of his way for. Regnitz possible included...]

That won't do. At least not without a wait to repay a debt. I'll be sure to gain some way of earning an income myself if that's the case.

Yeah, and telling you not to worry about it is pointless, too. Don't worry, by the time you're down here, I'll have something figured out.

[She flashes him a V with her fingers, face still mostly neutral.]

If you say so, then I have no choice but to take you at your word.

[In response, Jusis crosses his arms. Good to see they're still... them.]

You make that sound so difficult.

[Always.

At this point, Fie's propped her comm against something so she can eat her meal at the cafe while they converse. She's hungry.]

I must admit, sometimes it is difficult.

[There's a bit of a smile on his face. Take a picture, Fie. It isn't going to last long.]

In that case, I appreciate the tremendous effort on your part.

[Now here's her smirk, friendlier than normal. She holds up her cup of drink in mock salute.]

[There's something liberating about having a friend. In general. Just... having friends. He's actually 'calming' down now. Aka not being so stoic.]

As long as you're aware. Though I hope my belief in you will pay off.

[The way he's talking, it's clear that he does believe in her and her ability to find him something. And belief that he will pay her back and that she won't refuse his payback.

Trust. Normal people call this 'trust'.]

I've been here about six weeks, and I honestly never expected to see anyone from home.

[And wait. That reminds her.]

Speaking of, this'll sound weird, but what's the last thing you remember from home?

The last thing? I was at my manor doing paperwork that I'm overwhelmed in.

[He's not really sure what she means, though. There's the implication he's the Duke of Bareahard now, but it's not explicitly said.]
