[After Eleanor arrives, it takes her a few days to 'adjust.' She had plenty of experience travelling, sure, but all of that was aboard a pirate ship. This is space, and there are so many questions she has.]

[Once she feels comfortable, she decides to use the communication device to reach out. At the very least, touching base with everyone here couldn't hurt.]

Good evening, everyone.

I'm Eleanor Hume. I was recently transported here to be a part of this 'show.' I can't say that I'm happy about this, but I'm going to try to make the most of it.

I look forward to meeting all of you. If there's anything you need, please let me know.

[Action]

[Eleanor is spending most of the week getting used to life on board the Wonderduck. Most of her time is spent between the armory and the bridge of the ship, but she's making occasional visits to the kitchen, too.]

[This is kind of a surprise. Though maybe it shouldn't be. She and Eizen are here, after all, why not Eleanor, too? But still, she wasn't really expecting it.]

Eleanor? When did you get here?

[Jennifer was always glad to have new people on her ship, but she was happy to give Eleanor a little space to adjust, too. Finally, she caught up with her in the kitchen one day.]

Hey. Everything going well so far?

Velvet!

[This is certainly a shock, to say the least. The last time Eleanor had seen Velvet was their confrontation with Innominat, and she wasn't expecting her for the obvious reasons.]

[That being said, she is very happy to see her friend again.]

I just arrived. How about you? Are you doing well?

[She hesitates noticeably on the last question.]

[Eleanor is happy to have space to adjust, but she's also happy to have someone approach her. If only it wasn't in the kitchen.]

As well as it can be, I suppose. I never thought I'd say this, but I miss the food on the Van Eltia.

What is there to 'make the most of'? Unless you plan on playing the fool for us.

[She's so earnest and here Jusis is being his usual self... Not that she knows that.]

[Velvet knew that they had defeated Artorius and Innominat. Eizen had told her. But he didn't give any details. Velvet wasn't sure she wanted any. She wasn't sure if knowing exactly how it went down would somehow change things.

She's since been assured that being here doesn't effect the timeline back home, but it's still weird.]

I'm...fine. [Her tone is vaguely bemused. She's as well as can be expected considering she's stuck on a space ship in a foreign universe surrounded by unfamiliar technology.] I've been here about a month now.

[On one of Eleanor's trips to and from somewhere, a vent cover will suddenly pop off from the wall to her upper right, landing on the floor with a loud clatter. If she looks up, she'll see the head and shoulders of a teenage girl poking through the opening, gaze going from her to the cover on the floor.]

New crew member? Sorry. Mind handing me that?

[She nods to the aforementioned object on the floor.]

A month?

[Eleanor peers at Velvet suspiciously. It's not that she doubts her friend's word, but there are very legitimate concerns about who's running this place and what kind of power they have.]

[Nevertheless, Eleanor is still grateful.]

Since you've been here longer, I might need your advice. And I'm happy to see you again.

Well, it's better than just being miserable, isn't it?

[It's too bad for Jusis, too, because earnest is the only way Eleanor knows how to be.]

I never said I intended to be miserable. I'll do what I can, but I don't intend to treat this like some field trip or field study.

[He shrugs, his facial features not really changing much.]

Given we're on some 'reality tv show' I don't want to give anything our viewers would enjoy, especially if it's our displeasure.

[There are a few things that Eleanor needs to get used to on the Wonderduck, and among them is the way the ship actually works. She doesn't expect the cover to open, nor for someone to pop out, but that's space for you.]

Yes, I'm Eleanor.

[She picks up the vent cover and examines it, before handing it back to Fie.]

I take it you're part of our crew, too?

[Honestly, Velvet feels the same way. The amount of power the Atroma seem to have is kind of ridiculous.]

Sure. But if you need advice on any of the technology here, I don't know how much I can help.

[Even after a month it's still strange. Though her augment helps with navigation and ship related things, at least.

Eleanor's words make Velvet a little curious about her timeline, though. "I'm happy to see you again," like it's been awhile. But Velvet's not sure it's something she wants to talk about over comms.]

Are you still on the Marsiva? Or did they move you already?

Yep. Hold on.

[She retreats back into the vent once she has the cover, and puts it back in place. Eleanor should hear a few shuffles than silence for a while. That is until, Fie reappears from a room down the hall. A hand's held up in greeting.]

Name's Fie. I was just doing a quick sweep.

[Eleanor is more than willing to try and learn the technology here, but for the moment, it's too far above her head. Being a security expert isn't helping matters either, except when it comes to guns.]

[But she's not going to bore Velvet with any of that. There are more important things to discuss, the kind of things that would be better discussed in person.]

I'm on the Wonderduck. Are you able to make it out here?

I'm not treating this as a field trip, either. If there's some good we can do on the planets we visit, it's our responsibility to do it. Regardless of what the viewers think.

[Eleanor isn't too pleased about everything being broadcast, nor is she pleased about actually being watched. But she wants to believe that she's a big enough person it won't affect her.]

[Eleanor happily shakes. It's good to meet people in the same boat as her.]

It's nice to meet you. Are you in charge of repair?

I don't see how it's our responsibility to do good on any planets. Honestly, I wasn't aware I was suddenly put in the brigade of super heroes to save the universe!

[A change in expression as he scoffs at her. Really. He isn't here for this. To him, her way of thinking is naive. Try to do good wherever you've been thrust?]

[She's getting pretty used to using them at this point, and her docking has improved some.]

I'll be right there.

[No point in waiting, right?]

[One of the only time's Fie will do a handshake is when it's by accident. She meant it to be a wave, but sure. This works, too.]

Security. [Because air ducts and that go hand in hand.] Careful by the duct in the rear of the cargo bay, I'm testing something out down there.

You just arrived latest shuffle, right?

[ What is with the fleet and people from their world? Honestly, it is like they have some sort of fascination with them. Still he's glad to see her face. ]

You too, Eleanor?

[Lumiére spends most of his time board the Wonderduck, it's a little hard to explore the great world beyond when you have a single stump foot and you don't even reach people's knees. As such, he's watched Elenaor's comings and goings- largely giving her the space to adjdut to...well, space.

Eventually, though, he'll give her a charming smile from his spot on top of the communications console on the bridge. ]

How are you settling in, mademoiselle? I hope space is treating you well.

Mmm, the protein does take some getting used to. Thankfully, the asteroid system we're currently docked in has some actual food if you'd like a loan to go get some.

[ Everyone's turning up this week, huh... ]

I can't believe you're already trying to help everyone. Can't you take a break?

[ He's teasing, really... ]

I'll be waiting for you at the shuttle bay.

[And true to her word, Eleanor heads over immediately. It's taking time for her to adapt to life in space, but she's familiar enough with the ship's interior that she can find the docking port.]

[Eleanor likes to think that she didn't have a 'bad side,' but she absolutely does, and Jusis is quickly finding himself on it.]

It's our responsibility because we've been gifted with the means to do so. [She's...actually not sure that's the case, but it seems to be close enough.]

If you don't want to help, then don't. Your attitude would cause more harm than good, anyway.
