She seems to have a bunch of paper in front of her, and is folding origami cranes. Badly. And trying to teach the roomba-like maintenance droids how to do the same. (They are trying to vacuum the paper instead.)
She'll look up, mid-fold, when Yuri speaks though. ]
Ah, I'm sorry. Who are you looking for? What do they look like...?

[He is as captivated as he is confused. This is charming and hilarious in a sad way. The poor cranes that weren't folded with precision and the poor roomba was destroying the best of the flock. He remembered making these things in school as a child. He used to make some for the hot springs as decorations every year, he hadn't made them in a long time but he could go it. It was like riding a bike, give him some paper and his muscles would remember.]
Ah, hi. I'm looking for a tall Russian man with silver hair named Victor. He's got a gold ring like mine. If you see him tell him Yuri was looking for him? Ah... actually... can I help you with those? I think that robot is trying to eat your cranes.

It then coughs and sputters and dies because it is not meant to clean an entire stack of actual paper. ]
-AH!!

[He gasped as the roomba died. Poor machine, it died in the line of duty.]
I see... ah... well it won't eat any more paper. If we can find more maybe you can make cranes without worrying about it.
[Or, you know, just use a table next time?]
You mentioned a silver-haired man. I think that's my guy... also hi. My name is Yuri Katsuki.

My name's Nono.

[He's new here and this whole situation has him very anxious and on the verge of a meltdown so he gravitates towards soothing things. Especially soothing things that remind him of home so paper cranes? Done and done.]
We can find more paper and we can make new ones... you want to make them so your sister will come?

Are you from Earth? Wait, with your name- are you from Japan?
no subject
Ah-huh. I made a lot of them when I was little.
Ah... I'm from earth. And Japan. Is that... a good or bad thing? [She looks so different now, she's very excited. He's not so sure...]
no subject
I've never been there. [ Well, on it anyway. ] Do you think you could tell me about it?
no subject
Japan is... well that's a big subject. Is there something, in particular, you want to know about it? I'll do my best to answer.
no subject
Does Japan have a lot of skylarks?
no subject
You.... You're from Mars? How? Is there a space colony there? What year are you from??
Ah... skylarks? [He calms down.] Well sure, they're birds that live in Japan. I don't know if there are a lot of them. I can't say I paid that much attention to them.
no subject
But we don't have birds there. Nobody really knows why, but they all died out.
no subject
[He is, of course, dumbstruck by this. That's so far in the future! DEAR GOD! he can't even imagine that.] Forteen THOUSAND? I didn't think people would live that long...
No birds at all? But you had them before... huh. We have birds in Japan. Not only skylarks, we have other kinds. Pigeons, crows, eagles, things like that.
But... Nono, can you tell me about where you live too? We can answer questions back and forth, is that okay?
no subject
[ She is pumped for this now that it's, like, a game. Ish. ]
no subject
So... what kind of buildings are on Mars?
[He wondered if it was underground bunkers or if they managed to make an atmosphere that was livable there. Or if they had big domes like out of a lot of Sci-fi movies.]
