Action: Aboard the Heron
When: May (feel free to backtag)
[ The heron has had a large exodus of people recently, and a few new members. It's almost like a new ship. ]
Wicked Grace
Not that she wasn't familiar with it. That kind of turnover wasn't unusual back when she first started as a pirate. The Felicisima Armada didn't have the best mortality rate between the frequent raids and scurvy. But at least there you could say goodbye while your friend bled out.
Grace was suddenly on board the Heron a lot more after the ball. Her motley gang of ne'er do wells had pulled a tidy profit aboard the Aveline, but the ship getting blown up and a warlord with her name on a hit-list encouraged her to quite while she was ahead.
Also since the heist, she's been wearing a new necklace. Her quarters have also exploded with furniture, decor and a rather sizable wardrobe. Occasionally she can be seen carrying a new collection of packages and bags to her quarters, or even calling out to recruit a passing crewmate into helping move something out of a shuttle. She's also commandeered a full half of the cargo space downstairs. ]
Winter/ Bucky Barnes
[ It's so easy to fall back into bad habits when his peace of mind is disrupted. Losing half his crew is definitely cause for concern. The roster changes fairly often, but both Erik and Charles disappearing is too much of a blow. He shouldn't have gotten so attached to them, but it was hard not to after everything. For lack of much to do, or maybe as a distraction from having to think about it, he can be found in the halls doing more of a patrol than is probably healthy. Another one of those activities that seem to help push the angry and helpless feelings away is abusing the use of the treadmill off to the side in the cargo bay. It's mostly at odd hours of the night or in the ungodly beginnings of morning. ]
Kitchen
[ After the events of the heist and the fucking cannon that the Marsiva housed, the need to make sure their weapons cache is up to par. He can be found in the kitchen, a large array of knives and a few handguns spread on the table with a cleaning kit. A boombox sits next to a small box of cassette tapes on the kitchen counter, Fleetwood Mac playing softly from the speakers. ]
Quarters
[ If he can't be found in any of those places, Bucky may be in his quarters. He has been spending more time there recently, and there are a few more additions that hadn't been there before. Things he's inherited from the ones that have left. A box of yarn sits by the standing closet, a boombox with a box of Fleetwood Mac tapes, and a set of paints and a notebook under the bedside table. More than likely, he's come to his quarters to avoid human interaction, book in hand or one of the beaten up composition notebooks in his possession, filling the pages with hyper focus. He's having a very bad day. ]
Quarters
She doesn't, however, come in immediately, lingering in the entrance.]
Mind some company?
no subject
He gives her a single nod, shifting his legs so she can sit on the bed if she wants. If she wants to continue to linger by the door, that's just fine, though he wouldn't mind her coming closer. It's been a few days since he's seen her- seen anyone not on his crew, really. ]

Fleetwood Mac? Great choice.
Also you have quite the arsenal... I'm not sure what I expected, but I think you'd get along with my sister.

[ One of the many things he's inherited from people who have passed through the fleet.
He finishes sharpening the blade in his hand, nodding for her to take a seat. Granted, she won't have much elbow room. ]

Cargo Bay
Obviously the very obviously substantial collection of junk she'd bought that was taking up half the cargo bay wasn't enough.
She was also pretty drunk, so after a couple of moments of struggling with it, she fell back onto her butt. ]
Ow...
kitchen
Wow, that's a lot of weapons. Do we need this many? [ She idly reaches for a knife to pick up and examine.
Feel free to chastise ur maintenance officer. ]
Nono
Still, she's back now, decked in a colorful fake lei (don't ask) and a tacky souvenir T-Shirt that reads MADE IN SPACE.
Catch her as she flies back into the cargo bay from her space trips, or her exploratory jaunts through the ship itself - checking out the shuttles in the cargo bay (that she doesn't actually use,) tries to learn how to cook protein foodstuff, or just peering her head into whatever room is conveniently open. ]

I'm sorry, but I was told that going out into space was kind of... deadly.
[ Fenris, have you been lying to her? ]

Yuri
Excuse me, Victor is part of this crew, right? Can you tell me is he here, have you seen him?
no subject
Let's see... in order, I think that would be 'yes', 'possibly' and 'at some point.'
Assuming you're talking about the Victor I'm thinking of and not an entirely unrelated one.
no subject
[Oh coffee, he can go for some right about now. It's a soothing smell now from home.]
Oh. Good, I'm in the right place. Thank you... wait, are there multiple Victors here? I am looking for a man, taller than me. He's skinny, got silver grey hair, blue eyes, he's Russian. [And a charming, beautiful, dopey adonis]
Ah... he also has a gold ring on the same hand I do. My name is Yuri, I'm looking for him. Ah.. hello, by the way.

She seems to have a bunch of paper in front of her, and is folding origami cranes. Badly. And trying to teach the roomba-like maintenance droids how to do the same. (They are trying to vacuum the paper instead.)
She'll look up, mid-fold, when Yuri speaks though. ]
Ah, I'm sorry. Who are you looking for? What do they look like...?
no subject
[He is as captivated as he is confused. This is charming and hilarious in a sad way. The poor cranes that weren't folded with precision and the poor roomba was destroying the best of the flock. He remembered making these things in school as a child. He used to make some for the hot springs as decorations every year, he hadn't made them in a long time but he could go it. It was like riding a bike, give him some paper and his muscles would remember.]
Ah, hi. I'm looking for a tall Russian man with silver hair named Victor. He's got a gold ring like mine. If you see him tell him Yuri was looking for him? Ah... actually... can I help you with those? I think that robot is trying to eat your cranes.

Victor
Even he, though, can't ignore how people just disappeared. He'd had the come and go nature of this place explained, but it's still a little troubling to have find out how easily people go missing.
Instead of worrying about it though, he focuses on trying to go about his day.
He's still not entirely used to just 40 minutes in the shower though. And more often than not when he leaves the small shower room he ends up with a bit of soap still in his head.]
no subject
The kitchen is an equal mess, discarded ingredients and overflow both coloring the kitchen's counters and floors.
She looks up and smiles when she sees Victor. Then frowns. ]
You've got some soap in your hair. [ She motions with one hand to her own hair... which only smears some of the "food" mixture into her hair. ]

Sam
...did the lights just flicker a little? Oops. That's definitely not Sam's fault.
Later on, he commandeers the treadmill for a bit. Even in outer space, a guy's gotta stay in shape, and Sam likes to run. The cargo bay is kind of lacking when compared to the scenery back home, but there's not much he can do about that. Not much he can do about the selection of gym equipment (or, rather, lack thereof), either; for now, he just keeps to his solitary workout.]
no subject
so there's little fanfare in her arrival. whether she knows about sam's assignment isn't necessarily apparent -- nor is it something she'll be quick to divulge. better, maybe, to make it seem as though she's merely accidentally come across him with the electronic guts hanging out of a panel along the main corridor.
there's a pause in the click of her heels. nearly two years in space, and it's done little to tamp down a distinctly old world quality to the woman. in many ways, she might have walked out of the '40s only yesterday.
she clears her throat to catch his attention. it's always a little odd -- meeting someone in person after having primarily met them over the network. ]
Heavens, it would seem the Heron's got all the good luck. Leaves me wondering who Barnes sweet-talked to get you put here.
