[Sokka's been asleep for about two weeks, and he's certainly been busy in his dreaming state. When he wakes up and finds himself in his own captain bed, there's a brief moment of confusion. He'd only just been home, having a delicious meal, knowing his life, his Tribe faced an uncertain future. And now he's...on the Blue Fish. The name comes back to him with the low hum of the engine. Well, at least he knew what he was getting here, mostly.

He'll be getting up and exploring around, please feed him. He had the BEST food memory-dream.

And later, once he's learned a little more from his crew of the events he's missed, he turns on the network.]

So apparently, Atroma decided to let me sleep though us finally getting any kind of answers. Because that's funny. I'm laughing. I need details, guys, anything you can give me that you found out. Doesn't matter if I've heard it before, different perspectives are important.

[That's his latest Life Lesson He Learned. Yay.]

...And I'm sorry. For people who lost people. Seems there was a lot of that while I was asleep.

[He didn't want to say what over the channel like this. Even if they were being watched all the time, it was better in person than over the network.]

[Keith just smirked a little and nodded before cutting the video feed.

He gave Sokka a wave when he spotted him.]

So, you wanted to know what we found out?

[Keith tilted his head, indicating for Sokka to follow him.]

I didn't want to bring it up on the communicators because anything that we shared on the network with each other was suddenly deleted. But, we have something else.

[He was headed for the lecture hall.]

Action forever!!!

I figured that'd happen, somehow, Atroma are never happey when we get to play with their toys. They never learned to share.

[He follows, genuinely curious. ]


Oooh? Do tell.

A bunch of us took notes on paper, and we stashed it all in the lecture hall. I'll show you where.

[Keith almost looked a little proud of that.]

There are a few other digital copies around, but we're not sure how to really look at them without drawing unwanted attention, so we're leaving them as is for now. But, not everyone had a way to get the information digitally, so we ended up with the paper versions.

Also, some of us kept copies on our own ships as well, so, if something happens to the Iskaulit or the lecture hall, we still have something.

[He opened the door of the hall and stepped inside, heading for the back.]

Oh man, that's genius, I love it.

[He should be SUPER proud, Sokka sure is. ]

That;s a good idea. Last thing we want is for Atroma to start taking everything we have on them out of spite. Keep it low, keep it quiet til it blows over a bit.

[This is great, it's so well planned and he loves well planned things. They're the best. He grins, following. ]

Good idea. They've not really touched the Iskaulit since it started following us, but that doesn't mean they can't.

[Keith nodded to all of that. Sokka immediately picked up on what everyone had been thinking when the idea came up and was decided on. He brought him into the back and crouched down near a metal plate before popping it off. Inside were a load of papers and other things with notes and stuff people had taken from the computers they'd found on the asteroid.]

The thing is... the data got erased by what we think was some sort of pulse from a massive canon that was in the Marsiva.

[He leaned back to give Sokka space to look through what was in the cubby hole already.]

The canon came up and fired off into space, and we're pretty sure they hit the Interceptors we were working with during the party. We haven't heard anything from either of them since.

[That last part worried Keith. If the Marsiva had a canon like that and the Atroma or whoever was currently in control was willing to use it to take someone out like that, what did that mean for them?]

[Clever, very, very clever. ]

That's...really worrying. That we haven't heard from them since.

[He rifles through the papers, sitting down to read through them, taking as much in as he can. ]

I hope they didn't take any casualties. I plan to play it safe with them, but if they are our allies, we don't want them getting hurt.

[tempredmental]

[Keith nodded about things being worrying. It was definitely not ideal.]

That's really the best way to approach it. We don't know them very well, but we haven't had any reason to disbelieve them, yet. Letting them help, but keeping them at arm's length is the best way to go.

[It was how Keith approached a lot of potential allies. He didn't trust easily.]

I only know of the two. Do you know if there were any others in their group?

Exactly. It shows we're willing, but we're still looking out for ourselves, too. Just in case. If they turn out to be completely legit, great. If not...well, at least we kept enough distance to get out and away if things go bad.

There were a lot of them when they talked to us a while back. I counted a couple different voices. This is the first time there's been faces to those names, though.

[Keith nodded a little.]

The reaction from the Marsiva might make them a bit more cautious going forward... at least for a little while. [Keith wouldn't blame them, to be honest.] But, hopefully, they weren't wiped out.

I don't blame them for that. Getting shot at would do that to just about anyone. But yeah, I really hope they got out of it.

...Least we know the Marsiva is definitely packing heat now. Yay.

[tempredmental]

Yeah... yay... [Keith was definitely not cheering.] I just hope they don't turn that firepower on one of our ships.

[He was looking over some of the items in the pile, then shuffled a few around a bit before frowning and looking away again.]

Well, this is here if you want to add to it or try studying it. [He got up, not sure he liked the current direction of their chat.] It'll be good for us.

That's what we have to hope for. Especially considering they could just switch off our shields, our weapons, heck, our steering if they really wanted to. We really need to figure out how to wrench control of the ships from them, or if not, use the Iskualit as a way to get away.

[They absolutely can't just assume Atroma will never turn on them. Not any more. ]

It will. It's good we got this. It's something, at least.

The Iskaulit came later, didn't it?

[Keith leaned against the wall, crossing his arms.]

But no one actually controls it?

Uh huh. We tried to save the original crew. The people it came from gave it us as a gift for at least trying to rescue them.

It just tags along, it's ours, not Atroma's.

[tempredmental]

Has anyone been able to find a control room?

[Because, if that was the case, then it might be a better shot than one of the other ships. Though, they'd have to make sure they could defend against that cannon...]

Oh yeah, but so far they're unresponsive. It just follows our flight path.

[tempredmental]

[That was disappointing.]

Hm. I'd like to take a look some time.

[He might not be able to figure out how to override the system and get the controls to respond, but it would be worth looking anyway.]

It wouldn't be a bad idea. You never know if we might be able to do something to make it more of ours. Instead of...I don't know. Neutral party?

[Keith nodded.]

There's gotta be someone in the Fleet who's familiar enough with computers to figure out a way to take control.

I'd also like to see if there's a way to disable the Marsiva's cannon before we try anything like running off.

[He'd seen massive shipboard cannons before on Galra battlecruisers, but they were mounted externally with a particle shield around them. Having it inside the ship was a new one for him.]

You'd think so, right? Or at least spaceships, I guess?

[He sucks in a breath between his teeth. ]

Yeesh, you're right there. The last thing we need is that thing pointed towards us.

Well, if anything, I've noticed the ships here are just different enough from the ones I know back home as far as the controls. I'm pretty sure I could have figured it out on my own, but the augment thing definitely got rid of the learning curve.

[Keith frowned a bit, rubbing at the small lump where it was installed. It bothered him that it was there, but the idea of taking it out on his own, or having someone do it for him, bothered him more. Who knew just how integrated these things were in their brains? He wasn't quite ready to risk that, yet.]

I wonder how similar the Iskaulit's systems are to our own ships?

[He was definitely brainstorming something now, but he wasn't ready to completely voice it. Not until he'd seen the control room himself.]

No. Massive cannons like that are definitely not meant to be friendly. [Keith shook his head a little.] I've seen some back home... mounted on battleships. They're designed to make quick work of the enemy.

Yeah? That's useful. I only had the augments to lean back on, til I got used to the place.

[Sokka's SEEN what happens to people who try to take them out. Nope. No thanks. Not for him. ]

Different, I'd say, not hugely, but it was made by a race of bug-people, so-

And given the two times we've been actively SHOT at, you'd think they would have used that thing to defend us. But they didn't. Question is, why?

They didn't? [Keith frowned at that revelation. The bug people thing he'd worry about later if he got up to the control room.] But, you'd think they want to protect their show, right? Their... assets. [He hated considering the Fleet in that light, but that was essentially what they were, right?]
