Marsiva - action + network
[Waking with a start in an instinctual panic that takes away from her normally pretty features, the first few minutes of this girl on the feed are nothing new. She jumps up quickly to the unfamiliar surroundings knowing in her gut this is wrong and feeling she has to find a way out, to run home before the person responsible came back. But more and more, as the seconds pass, it becomes clearer to her the situation goes beyond an average kidnapping. There device filming her is something she first ignores thinking what any person from her world would: it is non-functioning and there only as a reminder of what was. She's smart though and soon sees it is actually filming her. She can imagine a few reasons why, like ensuring she wasn't laying in wait to jump out and fight if they came back, but she pushes the reasons she comes up with to the back of her mind so they don't away from her concentration. She locates the communications device as she is supposed to.

The panic on her features fade for forced calmness, courage. She stands there facing the screen, finding it in her to make a statement, before deciding to voice them to the world or whom ever was watching.]

I don't know why you took me. [She pauses for a moment, taking a breathe in. Clearly she doesn't remember how it happened either by the small uncertain look on her face.] But if you just let me go, I promise I won't cause you any trouble. No one will come bother you after. Do we have a deal?

SS Vanquish - action
[What good is one surprise without another? Just when she thinks she is getting her bearings with where she was, Enid teleports to the bridge of another place she doesn't recognize at all. The SS Vanquish. With the confetti, the tune of music meant to be welcoming, and cupcakes somehow in hand, she freezes in place with a look of shock, without batting an eyelash at anyone that approuch.]

[ Since Daryl's broadcast, he hasn't given much thought about replying to many others. This time, the voice sound unfamiliar and definitely harboring those same feelings that he had waking up alone on the Marsiva.

The way she pushes past that fear and puts on that brave face is familiar, but not in a way of knowing her. It's something they've all had to do with how the world has turned. Turning on the feed, Carl offers her a small wave. ]

None of us really know why. Or how long we're here.

[A voice! Finally a person to answer for what they've done. She offers a straight look at Carl looking like she is ready to chew him out just because he is the only person she can. But it registers to her fairly quickly that one it is Carl she's staring at and two he has both eyes, which is why all that frustration seems to fall away for a frozen stare. She does not offer a wave back. Eventually just unfreezes with a look of disbelief.]

Carl? How... You have both eyes.

[She wasn't sure what this was - a delusion, a trick, or a dream.]

[ The look she gives him puts him on edge almost immediately. It's the same sort of look that Daryl had given him before things went to hell. Only problem is, he doesn't know who this girl is.

Frustration bubbles up like a vicious thing in his chest, and he's getting a little tired of this happening. People he doesn't know recognizing him from some place else, or acting like this is some kind of a trick. It isn't fair to her, the situation with Daryl has been constantly on his mind and this is the tipping point.

Carl frowns, his eyebrow raising. The thing that's bothering him about her isn't that she knows him. ]

I-- uh. Yes??

[Likewise. The longer she looks at him, seeing his eye remain as it once was, the more on edge she feels stuck in this conversation.

Her expression mirrors his. A frown edging on the corners, eyebrows lifting to match without even realizing it.]

No. [She feels she has to say that opposite to him because his yes was not right. Still, whatever was happening, her eyes didn't seem like they were lying to her.] But how?

[ Well that sure fills him with confidence in you, stranger!! He doesn't even know where to go in this conversation. Irritation is the first emotion to come to the surface. ]

Look, I don't know who you are. You know who I am, or think you do. That happens in this place.

[Maggie was always around, browsing the network between her work on the Goldstone. She would reply when she could or if she felt like she should. In this case it was the latter. This girl looked about the same age as Carl and she reminded Maggie of a caged animal. She might be forcing herself to be calm but she looked like she was liable to panic if someone didn't try to talk her through this.]

The Atroma aren't very good at makin' deals. Most of us don't even know who or what they are, just that they're the ones who brought us here.

[Sighing, Maggie adjusts her hair into a pony tail, tucking stray hairs behind her ears.]

It's not an easy pill to swallow, I know, but for now just tryin' to keep it together is all you can do. Have you eaten anything yet?

[The only thing that counted for 'food' on the Marsiva or the other ships in the fleet was synthetic and often looked like pudding. There were some ships that picked up produce as they made stops at various planets, but not all of them. Maybe this girl would get lucky?]

[Talking her through this would certainly help if Maggie weren't another face she recognizes. Which for the most explains why she looks like does not hear anything Maggie actually has to say, instead shaking her head in disbelief at the camera.]

[There's surprise, plainly visible on her face for Enid to see. She wants to say something comforting and yet she doesn't know this girl. This is the first time she's meeting her.]

Yeah, Atroma doesn't like playing favorites, I guess.

[At least they can still talk about their situation.]

[Of course she is expecting something sign that tells her Maggie doesn't recognize her either, but it doesn't hurt any less seeing it on Maggie's face. Dream or no dream, or whatever this really was. She's hesitant to respond because of that, but she is not yet keen on hanging up on her like she did with Carl, not just yet.]

What does that mean? Who is Atroma?

[This way maybe she'll get more answers anyway.]

Natasha doesn't bat an eyelash either, though her lips purse slightly and she looks away from the communication bank to take in the newcomer. Apparently, it's not a surprise.

They have room. Makes sense that someone would fill it.

[Her first thought seeing Natasha there is that it's odd. Why someone would not be as surprised as she is is confusing, but on a small level she realizes its telling of her situation. Her kidnapping has probably happened to more people than those she's already talked to. She swallows just thinking about it.]

Another ship? Wasn't I just on one?

You were. A much bigger one. But this is this one is yours. [Natasha stands to greet her, putting on a confident, professional face.] You were assigned to the crew here. We just stay on the Marsiva a few days.

If that's the case, why not just bring me here in the first place. [That's purely rhetorical. She's not exactly agreeing with her kidnapping, but it would have been easier is what she means.] And what am I supposed to do here anyway? You're not one of the ones responsible for this, are you?

[She is afraid of that being true, and it doesn't help to hear someone else say it. A small frown begins to appear at the corners of her lips.]

[ The confetti doesn't shock Hermione too much anymore - she's heard people come and go enough times that she's a little more comfortable with it - but it means there's someone new, and she pushes herself away from her desk to move and track them down. It's not something that takes too long with how small the ships are and she steps around a corner, expression softening into a smile when she sees Enid. ]

[By the time Hermione rounds the corner, Enid has already met one of the crew. Natasha. It's still not getting any easier for her to accept how she needs to be here rather than on the ship she was on before, or you know, home where she belongs, though. It's not any easier bumping into people she has to now call crew. She's feeling all sorts of anxious inside, but gathers herself as best she can to appear okay in giving eye contact with the girl. The last thing she wants is questions on if she is okay.]

Hi. How many of you are there here? [More of a curious question than anything. Information gathering, too.]

[ Hermione's not an idiot and she's seen her fair share of awkward, anxious people - and all she does is offer a small smile, gentle and unassuming, nodding her head a little before she relaxes. She doesn't want to scare her off, after all, because of the fact that the ships are already terrifying enough. ]

There's not that many of us on the ship. Less than ten, really. I'm Hermione Granger, I work as lab support.

[Less than ten. It wasn't ideal having to deal with people she didn't know at all, but the number for certain didn't seem so bad. She tells herself she can deal with ten or less. Awkward introductions naturally came first.]

Enid. Uh, I'm-- [she probably been told what she was supposed to do, but her mind isn't quite there yet. She lets her words, trading them for another thought.] Why would you need lab support?

[There's something about the girl's resoluteness. It reminds her of herself. Once upon a time the youngest of X-Men. She hasn't felt very resolute lately with some of the losses to the fleet, but loss is an all too familiar part of life and you have to keep going.]
