[ what's a gun, he asks. well. this is going to be a little more involved of a conversation than she'd bargained for. setting aside any argument for necessary adaptations, she puffs her cheeks and just jumps into it. ]

It's -- well, it's a weapon. Commonly one that uses an explosive powder to propel its projectile through the air at deadly speeds and with deadlier force. Ranged, usually. Although quite effective point blank all the same.

We've got an armory on board but most of what it offers are these infernal space-blasters.

I can't say much for fun. [ lies; it's fun. ] But it brings about a certain advantage over traditional weaponry, depending on its user. We've got a firing range on the Iskaulit if you ever want to give it a go somewhere that doesn't risk puncturing our hull.

Sure, I wouldn't mind trying it out once to see what it's like. But my honor as a swordsman means I'm loyal to the blade.
