after all, it seems the captain's gone and requisitioned max's record player. for the first week in june, it'll be returned again and again to the new lounge. good luck hiding it from her, rockatanksy.

We were stationed at the time in a bunker headquarters under London. [ ... ] Steve said some things he shouldn't have said. And I, perhaps, fired some shots I shouldn't have fired.

[ that is clearly a very basic and ill-detailed version of the story. ]

I suppose it's fairer to say I shot at his shield. Good Lord, I wasn't about to put a bullet hole in everyone else's favoured soldier. But he was holding at the time. And it was untested.

I get shot at by angry women plenty. But usually they want to actually kill me.
