text. this is all just one big sin and i must go to confessional goodbye

Who: Jarvis and you
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: N/A (unless you have an idea for something!!)
When: Now-ish. Before everything goes horribly later for us all.

Oh, I've finally figured this whole texting thing out; quite an incredible thing, electronic writing! ヽ(´▽`)/

I do miss the smell of fresh paper and the way ink settles on paper as you write, but I cannot deny this is positively enjoyable.

Look at what a young gentleman from the last waystation had shown me. They are all the craze in Japan, I've been told! o(^▽^)o

The idea is using symbols to create faces. (♥o♥)

A means of conveying emotion without relying solely on punctuation or italics or what have you.

I feel so very old already, and I'm not even 40!! ⊙﹏⊙ I suppose I'll be very old myself when these things finally start to evolve.

ヾ(・ω・*)ノ Please tell me, from those in later years, what sort of changes to writing has happened since the 1940's? The progress is so very impressive.

If you will excuse me! I must complete my ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ daily gym visit, but I will reply ASAP.

As soon as possible, that is. :))))

There are apps made specifically to write up lists, too, if that's something you do a lot.

It's a screen that imitates books. Or newspapers. The display reflects light like paper, which makes it easier on the eyes to read for a long time. It uses "electronic ink". They're usually used on small reader tablets, just to read books and documents. All your library in just your hand.

No need to imagine. You're texting us through a computer. And it has files uploaded if you want to read. :)

That's I heard. And that the first mobile phone was the size of a brick.

You're from Earth, right? What part?

That's a long time ago for me. I'm from Japan, but I moved to the USA too. You can call me Shiro, by the way. Pilot of the SS Blameless.

Just Shiro is fine, Jarvis. Or you want "mister" too?

I meant 1947 was a long time ago. I'm from Earth but way farther in the future. You're right about one thing though, I was already a pilot before coming here. I was trained to be in space. I don't know how long you've been here, but if you still need help, I'll always assist a fellow pilot.

No, it isn't, most of the time. Some things the augment fills in for me, others I learn as I go. It's not hard, but it is a bit confusing some times. Or lacks logic. The title of captain, for example, doesn't seem to hold much power.

Is it? As much as I dislike their system, it seems to work for them.
