Signy Mallory
[ Calling a ship meeting seems like a bad idea, since Signy can’t guarantee anyone would show up and that would probably not go very well for her, would just make her more annoyed at everyone.
So instead she seeks them out individually, at their jobs or at leisure, as long as they’re on the ship and not in their room. ]
I have a proposal for handling cash. It’s opt-in. [ Hopefully said before anyone goes fussing at her. ]
Jobs we do together get mostly held as ship funds, except for 5% that goes to each person who was here and helped. For those that feel they need a full percentage of what they participated in, that’s open to negotiation.
Jobs we do individually, people retain most of their earnings with a percentage based on position going to the ship funds. Civilians: 10%. Basic officer functions: 25%. First officer: 50%. Captain: 75%.
With that money, I want to start stocking up on things we need. Please provide me a list of supplies you think you need to do your job or to survive on this ship. I’ll consider requests from everyone, but those participating will have their requests weighted higher.
Rules
[ As promised/threatened, there are sheets labeled Ships Rules that get posted on the bridge, in the kitchen, and anyone who talks to Signy can get the rundown. ]
1. No physical altercations on the ship. Consequences: any weapons temporarily removed and both parties sent to the Iskaulit until they can resolve their differences. Arbitration instead of resolving it on your own is an option.
2. During a combat situation, captain’s orders are to be obeyed. Consequences: temporary removal from your station.
3. No harassment. Consequences: possible detention in your room or removal from ship, depending on severity.
4. Be courteous to those you interact with on this ship. Consequences: 15 push-ups. [ Scrawled under it is written a more casual note, in less precisely careful handwriting. ] I’ll be honest, I think this one’s mostly for me. -Mallory
Bridge
[ And, of course, Signy can frequently be found on the bridge, either at the pilot’s station or at the captain’s. She seems to be focused entirely on whatever she is that she’s doing, whether it’s writing out a list or seeing to her station.
After a long period of silence, she looks up. Her eyes are sharp and intent. ]
Why don't you tell me a little about yourself?
[ It sounds like an order, even though it's not intended as one. Signy is honestly trying, she's just really bad at it. ]
Bridge
The question (order???) is enough to make him look up from a book he's trying to read, propped open on his communications station. Hey, at least it seems like she's trying to connect with them, that should be encouraged.]
Um...bien sûr. What do you want to know?
no subject
[ She's awkward at this, but hopefully that will negate some of the impression that this is an order. ]
You've talked about being cursed, what for?
no subject
It was not really my transgression. The Prince I serve was... not cordial to someone who ended up having a great amount of magic. Her curse was for him, we in his household were made a part of it.
no subject
So can you only escape it if he shapes up?
no subject
no subject
[ See, she's showing signs of caring. ]
no subject
Well. Then. I do not know. I imagine the curse will not be broken at all, then.

Sometimes. Especially when he locked himself away from everyone. Things...they are hopeful now? Assuming all goes well with the young woman who is living in the castle currently. We are just gently nudging things along.
no subject
Can't interfere too much, even when it's your own destiny on the line as much as theirs?

[He says that with no small degree of reluctance. He's been powering through on hope alone. If he lets it dwindle...well, nothing good can come of it. ]
But, should that not work, I am hoping someone on the Fleet will be able to give me an answer.
no subject
If I can be of assistance, I'm happy to help.
[ And not only because a human crewmember sounds more useful than a candlestick. Not even mostly because of that, even if that's the reason she would give if questioned. ]
no subject
Merci, ma cherie. That is most appreciated.
no subject
[ There, now that that's taken care of she's going to return her attention to the ship. ]
no subject
[Well, baby steps. He's actually impressed she got this far. He'll go back to his book for now. Good job, Signy, you managed an entire pleasant conversation with a member of your crew. Gold star. ]
Eleanor
Which. SUCKS. Only firearms, and he can't even get the locker with the bigger rifle-looking ones inside. All he has are these dinky looking little laser pistols, but it's better than the nothing he had before so Cloud grabs one and starts fiddling with it before shoving it into the belt of his SOLDIER uniform. ...y'know what gonna take a backup too. Just two, no need to get greedy.]
OTA
At the moment she's waiting for her friend in the kitchen and reading over the rules that have been posted with a vaguely sour expression.]
What the hell?
