[This was not his bunk, and he was not getting woken up in the manner he normally did; which was three hungry kitten voices complaining Remy hadn’t gotten up early enough to feed them. It was rather nice actually, getting to sleep in a bit without the sounds of others moving around the ship or pets bouncing around outside his door and running up and down the halls. Though if he thought about it, Remy would think it was all too quiet…

Peeking an eye open and letting it search around, he quickly recognized this as not his room on the Wonderduck, or Kirk’s on the Tourist. It was a room he hadn’t seen for quite some time; the Marsiva, and that, that didn’t make sense. Pushing himself upright to sit on the bunch, he ran a hand through his hair to try and move it into something resembling neatness while his other went searching for his com. Giving into his vanity and taking a moment to make sure he was semi presentable, he hit the buttons to send out a video.]

So, did I miss a notice or something ‘bout us switching up ships? Would be nice if they gave us some warnin’ rather than movin’ us ‘round places. Also ‘ssume m’ three brats be stored ‘way somewhere safe, guessin’ the pet clinic on here. 'til I know what's goin' on, think will be makin' most of the coffee on board.

Yes, you son of a-- [And then he's off, calling Remy everything he can think of, in a creative mix of English, German, and a smattering of French with an accent that he learned from Remy himself--his world's Remy, that is.]

[Remy's brows shot up at the first barrage of words shot his way, surprised by the strength behind them and the variety, only picking up a handful of the German ones, before his smile returned. It widened into a grin as Kurt continued, then into a chuckle at the steady stream of insults, a happy and warm rumble of a sound as he waited for a gap in the onslaught.]

Ahh cher, ya know how to make a homme feel real welcomed, I love ya too. [And even if it hadn't felt like it had been months for him, Remy did really appreciate it, even offering a small token towards that thought.] Glad to be back.

You're a bastard, LeBeau. [Which he'd just finished saying in multiple and inventive ways. Hearing Remy laugh again made something in his chest twist, which is what he intends to blame for the pained look that flashes across his face.

Ya have no proof of that, neither do I, but ya don't. [Joking and stuff was a great way to deal with all of this but that look it caused on Kurt, it softened that need to kid around, sobering Remy's tone.]

Yeah, yeah, I have. Am glad to see ya both be still 'round. [Considering who had gone. The mutant population of the Fleet had certainly dropped since Remy had been gone.]

Ja. [Yes it had, and once again Kurt had lost people he considered family. That they were gone to a better world that was not a saccharine euphemism was the only thing that kept him from howling in pain and regret; but it had been better to keep his distance, hadn't it? Raven had been so young and Erik..

He wished he'd told Erik he forgave him, and to hell with what kind of amoral monster that made him.] When you get off that ship, you're getting a hug. [And because he's Kurt, of course it comes out like a threat.]

[Maybe it did, but Remy was well use to that tone from his family, Rogue having turned it on him once or twice in the past.] I think I can take that as a welcomin' party back.

I got a lot to catch back up on. [Both events that had been and those people who were still around. Remy had sorted out quite a normal schedule despite how bizarre this all was; he had work, friends, pets. It was nice to have something normal to grab onto with what they were doing.] But goin' to be annoyed if I missed out on 'nything too good at some of our stops.

[Kurt snorts, and for a second feels normal.] You should be so lucky. Chances are Kitty's entertaining the idea of a proper party. [That he will attend mostly to act as emotional support; if she throws one. Neither of them have felt much like celebrations in the past month.

Still, he manages a wicked grin, albeit one slightly lesser than normal.] That depends; have you ever entertained the desire to live like a rock star?

Ahh, do love an excuse to party, even if it ain't that big an event to throw one. [He means, well, he's back, may as well just get on with life as normal now. Or as normal as the Fleet allowed.

A chuckle joined his smile at that question.] That 'mplyin' m' life wasn't normally like that before all this. What, did ya'll have a talent contest or something? Big prizes for the winners of drugs 'nd booze or something?
