[This was not his bunk, and he was not getting woken up in the manner he normally did; which was three hungry kitten voices complaining Remy hadn’t gotten up early enough to feed them. It was rather nice actually, getting to sleep in a bit without the sounds of others moving around the ship or pets bouncing around outside his door and running up and down the halls. Though if he thought about it, Remy would think it was all too quiet…

Peeking an eye open and letting it search around, he quickly recognized this as not his room on the Wonderduck, or Kirk’s on the Tourist. It was a room he hadn’t seen for quite some time; the Marsiva, and that, that didn’t make sense. Pushing himself upright to sit on the bunch, he ran a hand through his hair to try and move it into something resembling neatness while his other went searching for his com. Giving into his vanity and taking a moment to make sure he was semi presentable, he hit the buttons to send out a video.]

So, did I miss a notice or something ‘bout us switching up ships? Would be nice if they gave us some warnin’ rather than movin’ us ‘round places. Also ‘ssume m’ three brats be stored ‘way somewhere safe, guessin’ the pet clinic on here. 'til I know what's goin' on, think will be makin' most of the coffee on board.

[It's been a hard few weeks of losing people, so getting some people back? Doesn't suck. I mean, you know, captives of mysterious overlords yadda yadda. It's not the best, but still, she's taking the win.]

I guess this means you remember me. [She smiles at him.]

Not the kitty I was referrin' to, but ya a welcome sight none the less. [That normal, charming grin in place as he spoke to her.] 'nd why would I forget ya, only saw ya the other day, petite. [Months away? He has no clue what you're talking about, what do you mean?]

For the record, you requesting "three brats" is not why I thought you remembered me. Or it partially is but only because it meant you remembered this place.

And it's been months. Hence the Marsiva and not your regular bed.

[Wait, no, what? That didn't make sense, Remy remembers yesterday, his normal routine on the Wonderduck, heading out to work, chatting with his friends while he was working behind the bar. But then again...] I was in a coma? [He had seen others fall into it, get knocked out for a couple of weeks or so, but they normally stayed in their ship.] Or I was gone?

[Or more importantly.] How long was I gone?

You have been here before and you remember it?

That I be, 'nd that I do. [There was a bit of a shrug to go along with Remy's answer.] Seen it before in others, some come back with memories of this place, some don't. Some even come back with new memories of home, like they got thrown back 'nto their worlds for a bit before bein' whisked back here.

For me, it's just like I went to sleep last night on the Duck 'nd woke up this mornin' here. Don't feel like 've been gone a day, let 'lone months.

..Remy?

[Kurt had been prepared to harden his heart and fill a stranger with a familiar face in about where they were and who he was (not the man you know)--and then Remy mentions the ships, asks about his cats.

They don't come back, do they?]

This is good to know, thank you. I wasn't certain that this place was similar to other prisons in that respect.

Ah--but I'm sorry that it happened to you. It is a confusing thing to experience.

Months wasn't good enough for you? I'm not sure exactly. It was before a lot of people disappeared more or less together. Like most of the other mutants. It's just Kurt and Laura now. And us.

What's the last system you remember?

...yeah? Charles 'nd Hank 'nd them too? [That was unfortunate, and a little sad to have the mutant numbers drop on the Fleet.

Shaking himself out of those thoughts, Remy answered.] That hotel planet thing, just after Christmas.

Hopefully nothin' a couple of hard drinks will solve. [Hopefully. A lot could change in a few months on the Fleet, people leave and new ones join, planets visited. It would take some time for him to catch back up on everything.]

So ya part of the 'multiple abduction' club too, hein? Had never guessed when started this all be so much out there, or I guess more a case of how many bored aliens there be out there that they need to steal people from different worlds.

Hey Bleu, miss me? [Humor, humor was always the first way to deal with anything, serious or not. Much easier to laugh at a situation than let it get to you.]

Them too. [It was especially hard losing Erik and Hank for her.]

Mm...that was a long time ago. It's June 8th now. We just left an asteroid belt. We're drifting.

And what hard drinks fail to solve, they will make more bearable.

Please let there be a handshake.] What surprises me, more than the apparent number of bored alien captors, is that beings with the technological capacity to abduct people from any number of universes would have nothing better to do than watch us fly around space. If I was them, I think that I would find us boring.

Yes, you son of a-- [And then he's off, calling Remy everything he can think of, in a creative mix of English, German, and a smattering of French with an accent that he learned from Remy himself--his world's Remy, that is.]

[Remy's brows shot up at the first barrage of words shot his way, surprised by the strength behind them and the variety, only picking up a handful of the German ones, before his smile returned. It widened into a grin as Kurt continued, then into a chuckle at the steady stream of insults, a happy and warm rumble of a sound as he waited for a gap in the onslaught.]

Ahh cher, ya know how to make a homme feel real welcomed, I love ya too. [And even if it hadn't felt like it had been months for him, Remy did really appreciate it, even offering a small token towards that thought.] Glad to be back.

Yeah, a good point... then again, don't seem that different to humans, usin' us as entertainment for their tv or whatever it equal to. Merde, we got shows 'bout animals 'nd the like, let 'lone reality tv shows, seems 'bout the same, just on a bigger scale.

[Also, he's been as rude longer than he should be, his Tante would not approve.] Name's Remy LeBeau, by the way, nice to meet ya.

Half a year... [Wow, just... wow.] Missed m' birthday. [He mumbled, mostly to himself before giving a sigh.] Then again, don't mind puttin' off agin' for 'nother year. [Did it work like that? Eh, didn't really matter.]

However long it be, glad to be back.

Are the people on reality shows traditionally held captive against their wills? [This is a real, sincere question. He's still learning about the genre.]

[Though Remy couldn't help the fraction of surprise that flashed over his face before he shoved it away, easily recognizing that name and shoving his inner Star Trek fanboy away. Chekov. [She still doesn't know. She celebrated the day of her birth and the day she would mathematically turn another year older last year, but considering she's pretty sure time moved differently in the prison, but she's not sure how differently she might just make it one this year.]

It's good to have you back. I was starting to think people only went one way here. [She'd seen others return but it hadn't been anyone she was very close to.]

Check with Kirk. If anyone kept things it was probably him. [She remembers how sad he seemed when Remy left.]

I don't understand how that can be entertaining.

[Chekov is sufficiently used to people recognizing his name and his affiliation with the Enterprise and her crew to not be terribly surprised.] I would happen to know him. He is currently the captain of the Tourist.

Feels like that way sometimes. [Remy nodding along to that as he answered.

Then she said that, that worry that a certain other person may had vanished as well and a weight Remy didn't realize was there lifting.] Kirk's still here? [Good. Good... it would had been a damn shame if he wasn't still around.] That's good to know. [It made the impact of this all a little softer, less of a hit to the time he had lost and those who were now gone.]

Drama, I suppose, never been 'm taste in tv shows, [Though even with saying this Remy was too caught up in the fact of who this was. It was so great, even if it wasn't the version he had grown up with. He loved the fact he got to see more of Kirk's universe and what it was like.] Get 'nough drama in life without havin' it on m' tv.

Nice to meet ya, mon ami, nice to have more of those who use to space travel 'round.

I guess he hasn't seen your post yet. Yeah, he hasn't gone anywhere. You're in luck. [Voice trailing off a little.]
