[Early in the evening, a teenage girl's supremely pissed-off face appears in the sightline of the camera, close enough to screw with the focus. She's got a red-lipsticked scowl, and an expression that says she's just damn tired of this.]

I swear the next "Welcome to purgatory, you're in for life, enjoy your stay" spiel I hear? Someone's getting a kick in the gut. All I want's a taco and the first flight back to New York. Otherwise, don't even bother.

[You can find her on the Hospitality Deck for some time afterwards, looking about as pleased as a wet cat. She's twirling around a wand in one hand, shuffling her brain for any kind of spell that could get her out of here. But none of the likely contenders are working, and as spell after spell fizzles and dies, her muttering is getting louder and more angry.]

[Her eyes widen, lighting up just a bit.]

[Another newcomer! Though admittedly, she didn't sound quite as happy as the dragon guy. Kairi had been watching one of the televisions set up, trying to get a feel of the place and what was out there. Despite how angry this person sounded, Kairi couldn't help but get up and see for herself.

Kairi eventually finds where Alex is, though wisely hanging back. She watches her for a moment as she twirls her wand around, seemingly frustrated at whatever it was she was (or wasn't) doing.]

Are you all right?

[Best to lead with that, she supposes. She isn't sure what else to ask, as heck if she knows what Alex is trying to do...]

[Seeing that reaction only makes his smile widen.]

I see your memory is as firmly in place as your priorities.

[delincuente]

Yeah, any reason it shouldn't be?

[Somehow she doesn't really like the sound of that. Another place that has the power to wipe your mind? Not cool in the slightest, though the shock factor at things like this faded away years ago.]

And when did you even get here? Like, I'm pretty sure I just saw you in the castle.

[delincuente]

[Alex nearly drops the wand at the intruder's voice, and blows out a grumpy sigh in reaction.]

Yeah. Super cool. Swell.

[She draws out the last word, her voice dripping with sarcasm.]

Just trying to find the exit ramp.

I have been here about a month. The last I saw you was over a year ago.

[delincuente]

Dude. No, that's-

[She lets out a frustrated noise, bringing one hand to the bridge of her nose before she looks back at the camera.]

Okay, so - time shenanigans?

[lord_wizard]

Clearly.

[As if he'd ever repeat the word 'shenanigans' out loud]

It's just like when people used to leave and then return to the castle. And to answer the earlier question, there are people here who I remember from there who do not remember Paradisa, and some people here who do. [He shrugs faintly. Yep, definitely old hat]

There are other people here? Who?

[She jumps on the question all too quickly.]

[Probably not who you're hoping for, Alex]

Crowley, Allen, and Ino are the ones I know for sure. There's a few faces I'm less familiar with.

Does a TV show count as purgatory?

Hm.

[Yeah, not really. But she almost gives a bitter laugh at one thought - this time, at least, she was the one to leave.]

So, you've been here a month. What should I expect - dinosaurs? Talking horses?

[delincuente]

[Ah, yeah. Felix said Ino was here, but he didn't note if she remembered or not. Alex narrows her eyes.]

As an expert connoisseur of reality TV? I'm pretty sure being in the middle of space makes it a possibility.

[ino]

[ Laughs. She sees her and Felix talking, so: ]

I'd say it's an improvement in some ways over the castle, anyways.

[She can't help but smile in some weird semblance of relief.]

Another refugee. You been here as long as Felix?

[ino]

I've been here about six months now. That seems to have been the "start" of this game.

My stay has been relatively quiet, to be honest. At the moment I'm on a planet that reminds me somewhat of the City Royale, except it is being cast as a tourist attraction. I don't see the appeal.

[That's a half lie. He's just hating it on principle. He hasn't gone back to his ship since they landed]

I can't speak as to the exotic nature of the personnel, however.

[He's really not the best person to go to for short answers.]

How come you get to be on a planet, and I'm stuck in the armpit of Tomorrowland?

[There's that familiar teenage whine.]

[delincuente]

[She replies with a really dramatic groan.]

Six months? And you just got dragged right in here from the castle?

[ino]

Six months.

[ But at least in that time there haven't been any zombie invasions or battles or anything? ]

Yeah, the last thing I remember before coming here was going to bed in the house in town. We all thought it was some kind of world change, at first.

[lord_wizard]

[He's going to ignore that whine answer the question. He doesn't know exactly what she's talking about, but context helps]

You'll be up there until they, as they call it, "shuffle" you onto the crew of one of several smaller vessels, which are currently landed on said planet.

Yeah, a couple times. The fun just never stops.

Well, I guess if one world change's gotta stick, at least I don't see any pirates or velociraptors in this one.

[She casts a casual glance over her shoulder.]
