[Emotionally wrought from the calibrations, Riona sets out to find Leliana and unload a bit. Between what everyone saw of her, and what she saw in others' minds, her head's spinning and she's not sure where to go with it all. There's so much to process and sort through, and her best friend's always been good for that.

But Riona can't find her anywhere. Even Kiter aids in the search as they tear through the hauntingly empty ship, but when they come up with nothing, she finally tries her room. And it's empty.]

No. No no no...

[She pulls out her communicator and looks for her in the directory. Her name's missing, like she'd never been there. First Beverly, then the Starks, and now Leliana.

Riona's officially hit her breaking point.

She screams, agony and rage all coiled into one verbal assault. Kiter runs for the hills (or probably the cargo bay to hide) as Riona pounds her fist against the wall. Obscenities and pleas are hurled as she stumbles to her room, not bothering to stop the tears and the sobs that follow behind. She slams her bedroom door behind her and collapses onto her bed.]



[What seems like an age later, she finally regains enough control of her emotions to send out one text to the fleet.]

To those who knew her, Leliana has gone home.

[That's all she sends. It's all that's needed. And with that heavy burden done with, Riona breaks out that champagne and the rest of her alcohol stash. She's been crying so much that the alcohol is mixed with salt from her tears. Vaguely she realizes she shouldn't be doing this, not when she's still so upset, but she doesn't care. What's the worst than can happen? Frankly, at this point, she doesn't care. She just wants it to stop, and that's gonna be found at the bottom of a bottle.

Those on the ship or who want to stop by can approach her, though don't expect a sunny welcome. Bringing booze might help gain entry.]

Excellent! [She claps once.] I do love when a plan comes together so well. [She glances at him.] Do you need to run back to your ship to get your weapons?

No. I have no need for any weapons, if we're being honest. Probably for the best I don't have them. We don't want too many dead people on our hands.

[bryces_pup]

...fair enough. I suppose we don't necessarily want a high body count. [She walks over to a corner of her room, where her sword is propped up in its sheath. She grabs it and swings it on her back.] Shall we depart?

The locals tend to be very unhappy about that sort of thing, and I would still like to work here while I can.

[Bunch punching them is A-OK! ]

Yes, lets.

They might not notice, given all the distractions and ads and whatever is on that planet. It's all one big, bright distraction.

[Riona ambles out into the hall, beckoning him towards the cargo bay where the shuttles are.]

That...is very true. [His tone suggests he's not impressed with that. ] It is a very loud place.

And gaudy. And tasteless. [It offends so many sensibilities.] I sincerely cannot wait to leave.

[As they approach the shuttles, Riona pauses, glancing over at Fenris.] ...would you like to fly? I am a bit inebriated.

Me either, the pay is good, but it's too obnoxious for me.

[He chuckles. ]

Afraid you might fly into a building? I suppose I can do it.

Agreed all around.

[She chuckles sheepishly.]

Something like that. Also worried about the take off and landing. Might be very bumpy.

I would rather avoid making a hard impact on the ground if it's all the same to you.

[He'll get behind the (wheel?) because yeah. Let's not die today.]

So... [She lurches a bit in her seat, wobbly from the flight and from being a bit drunk.] How punchable are these criminals of this walking advertisement of a world? Like, from a scale of "I stole some bread from an old lady" to "I kick puppies for fun."

[Yes, kicking puppies is a worse offense than murder, shut up, she's Fereldan]

[He lets out a low, thoughtful hum on that one. ]

Somewhere in the middle. They tend to steal from the rich and snobby, but they also occasionally run trafficking rings- not people, luckily for them.

[If they did, they would be dead already. ]

No slavers then. Better for the city, less fun for us. Though I suppose you'd have been at them already by now if there were any.

There certainly wouldn't have been any breathing, anyway.
