[Yes, Looma had actually taken the time to read the crew roster. She was taking the whole "Captain" thing deadly serious, apparently.
But she'll hold up a rather large suit of flex armor- clearly meant for her, considering it was almost as big as Pidge was- for illustrative purposes.]
I have apparently been gifted with this armor as part of my reassignment. But as I have no use for it, I require your expertise in putting it to use for another. I wish to know if it is possible.
[It was sort of straddling the line between needing an engineer and needing a tailor, but the engineer's station was the only one with any sort of tools to it, which meant Pidge was the logical choice here.]
In exchange, you are free to use whatever material is left to supplement your own armor. I will provide what assistance I can, though I am a warrior, and not used to working any particular trade. What I can do is secure you whatever tools or materials you might require.

[It's still not a station she feels like is taking full advantage of her skillset, but... Well, it's not a job she hates either. Though when Looma raises that enormous suit of armor, she can feel every relevant part of her brain kick in. Her eyes move over its entire surface several times, scanning and assessing everything, before Pidge turns back to Looma with both eyebrows raised in curiosity.]
Honestly, I don't think trading items is strictly necessary. I could probably use a favor or two down the line- [Like once she has a real escape plan in place.] -but if you don't have any use for the spare parts, I'll take them.
Anyway, I'll see what I can do, but... [And here Pidge's brow furrows a little bit in confusion, looking between the armor in Looma's hands and the armor she's already wearing.] What do you mean by not having any use for it? Is what you have better?

It is only fair payment be offered in exchange. If that is what you prefer, so be it. Though know that I will not be undertaking any action I consider humiliating or underhanded. I will agree to one favor, and you may use the remnants as you see fit.
[Though if she had to have a say, she'd lean toward armor improvements. Engineers were valuable, and Pidge you are a tiny little thing. As for her question though, Looma does feel it might be better to show than tell. She was well aware not all humans were familiar with aliens, let alone Tetramands. Still, Pidge doesn't seem to be armed at the moment, so she'd give it a shot.]
It is, but that hardly matters. It is highly likely I am more resilient than that armor. We may test that theory in the armory if you wish.
[Because firing weapons inside a space ship was just such a brilliant idea.]

[At Looma's assertion, both of Pidge's eyebrows arch upward in surprise. She herself, sturdier than the suit of armor? It's definitely an impressive claim, though it kind of makes sense; Looma just plain looks impressive, after all. Regular Earth bullets probably bounced off like ping pong balls.]
I... think I'll take your word for it. I didn't know we had an armory aboard this ship, though. I wouldn't mind going to see it.
