After a moment he seems to finally acknowledge the camera is on, and he smiles with a little jovial wave. ]

Hello, everyone.

I don't know about you, but when I encounter a problem that stumps me, or a particularly strange situation ... the first thing I like to do is have a nice, hot cup of tea.

[ He inhales the steam. ]

Something about the flavor and the warmth in your belly makes it easier to clear your mind and focus your energy on what is troubling you.

[ He takes a sip. Ahh, delicious AND comforting. ]

You can always count on jasmine to lead the way to the answers you seek.

[ By which he means, please explain to him why they are in the middle of space, thanks. ]

[You wait months and months on your own and then suddenly they all come at once. Man, he's smiling though. Iroh is the best adult he could hope for after his father, even if Sokka understands precisely zero of all this tea talk.]

I don't know who Jasmine is, but I can fill you in. I've been here a while.

[ He chuckles, even though it's horribly offensive that you don't even know what jasmine tea is. He is going to have to re-educate you, Sokka ]

Jasmine is not a person, it is a flower, Sokka. It makes for a delightfully fragrant tea.

[ oh, whoah - iroh is one person she wasn't expecting to see, but she doesn't exactly seem upset about it. she'll leave sokka to do the whole "filling in" thing (she really probably doesn't know much more about this place than iroh does), but she can greet him anyway, right? ]

It seems fate has blessed me with quite a few familiar faces today. It is very good to see you.

Actually, Atroma led- You know what? Doesn't matter.

Anyway, you're in space now, which you can probably tell. The people who kidnapped us all are called Atroma. We're here to entertain people across the galaxies on this thing called a television show. It's like watching a play, except you're not actually in the audience.

[ Wow, Atroma. Kidnapping a bunch of kids is pretty shitty. ]

What sort of entertainment do they expect?

[ He has to think on this, and he might be trying to get a better view of the cup by looking closer at the communicator. ]

[ The fact that these Atroma people could even kidnap the Avatar is pretty concerning ...

But, they can worry about that soon. For now, he gestures for Aang to sit down ]

[He is treating the whole thing casually so far, but he's more worried than he looks. Between the kidnapping and being separated from Katara and Sokka, and not knowing how to space-bend... It does him good to see a friendly face in person.

He softly nods.]

I'd love one, Iroh! ...If you have one to spare!

Of course. I would never just make one cup.

[ Pours him one from the pot he's got over here ]

It is cool enough not to burn, yes.

I would offer you a cup, but I'm afraid there is no way to send an object through these devices.

From what I've seen? Anything. Just us doing...whatever seems to do it? We get money for it, to buy stuff at planets and Waystations.

Anyway, you'll have a chip in your head, it's an Augment, it gives you a job for when you get put on another ship.

[ He has absolutely no idea what they would want from an old man like him, but ...

He tugs at his beard thoughtfully. ]

Has the journey been pleasant, so far?

I guess. I mean, nothing has tried to horribly murder us, or anything.

Most of it's just been annoying.

I am afraid your tea - while I am certain is pleasant enough on its own - will not give you many answers. [ the faint smile on her lips would indicate that maybe she's joking, but the tone of her voice is just as unreadable as always. weird. ]

I, however, may be able to assist you. I have not been here long, but I will do what I can to answer any questions you may have, ser.

It's always good to encounter someone who properly appreciates tea. Though, I have to warn you, the selection here is fairly disappointing.
