And kinder! If you had learned to be gruffer, he might have stopped. (He chuckles.) Not that such a demeanor would suit you.

[ Maglor wrinkles his nose at him ]

How was it to my detriment? I recall you sitting at my bedside far more than I sat at yours. (Even if it had been the other way around, he would consider himself blessed.)
