_{[ The video comes on and Kirk fills the screen, looking somewhere between perturbed and amused, maybe even a touch confused. Or was it miffed? Either way it's a slightly odd expression and just to his left is sitting a basket most everyone should be familiar with now. It is opened, though the food stuffs is left untouched (for now - he's not Looma, okay?).

He picks one of the items up off the table beside him and holds it up - it's a picture of a bird with some words atop it that read: 'I took a calculated risk, but man, am I bad at math' and titled on the frame as "Self Portrait". ]}

I feel this is a very sassy and unwarranted attack on my character, Atroma. Is there something you're trying to tell me?

[Well that will work as long as he is a clock but once he's a human -- perhaps Jim could use a ship's steward who is entirely enamored of him? Who knows.]

I ... well, I have not even looked. I assumed it was for someone else.

Oh trust me, if it shows up in your room it's probably for you - either from Atroma or from a sponsor. Most of the time they're like this - not very helpful in the least.

[Cogsworth tapped his fingers, before he hops away from view. There's the sound of huffing, and something being dragged, as he goes to pull the basket in front of the camera. Letting out a whoosh, he wipes his clock face and then tugs at the ribbon to open the basket.

He goes into it, and frowns as he pulls out a small admiral's hat, and then keeps digging through.] Let's see ... let's see ... Oh. Ohhhh.

_{[ Oh no, the hat is adorable. And so are the sounds the clock is
making. ]}

Oh? What did you find?

This ... this is my old coat.

[Cogsworth's voice was very, very quiet, as he held the red and gold embroidered cloth in his hands.] My very finest ones.

_{[ Kirk watched quietly as the clock pulled it out, looking over the
gold embroidery and fine red cloth. ]}

I'm sure it looks quite dashing on you.

[Cogsworth held the sleeve up, his small blue eyes saddening.]

It ... did. Ten years ago.

_{[ If Winn was here, he would ask him to make a tiny version for
Cogsworth to fit the clock's new body, but he wasn't and Kirk was now
seamstress. But maybe someone else could... It was a thought he stashed in
the back of his mind for another time. ]}

What did you do? Back in your world? Something important to have a jacket like that.

I was a ... I am a Steward of the Royal House of France. Most specifically, that of Prince Adam.

[He stroked his fingers along the red velvet fabric.] I was the head of a large household, and I was ... important.

_{[ He had never heard of Prince Adam, but look, he's not about to pop a
sweet little clock's esteem bubble. He's not a monster. ]}

I'm sure you still are. You don't seem the sort to let a few bits of dust in the cogs stop the clock from ticking.

_{[ A warm wink. ]}

[Oh and he did like saying the man's name ... but no. His expression was Quite Serious.]

I have absolutely no dust in any of my cogs. I am a very tidy and organized individual. Even as a clock.

[A sniff, and another smoothing down of his perfectly maintained wooden finish. Yes. He's vain.]

_{[ Even serious face is quite adorable. If they weren't selling
figurines of you yet, Cogsworth, someone was missing out on a giant
marketing opportunity. ]}

I did say you didn't seem the sort. And it was metaphorical, but I would hardly imagine you to allow such a thing in the literal either.

[In some universe ... possibly even here? There was one.]

[Well, now the clock is blushing again. Sheesh Jim.]

Oh, I wouldn't say that ... I mean he would be absolutely lost without me but ... you know. Modesty, and all.
