Captain's Log 12 - Assessment
Who: Jim Kirk & Anyone
Broadcast: Yes
Action: The Tourist if you want to speak to him in person
When: Now! Right now!
[ The video comes on and Kirk fills the screen, looking somewhere between perturbed and amused, maybe even a touch confused. Or was it miffed? Either way it's a slightly odd expression and just to his left is sitting a basket most everyone should be familiar with now. It is opened, though the food stuffs is left untouched (for now - he's not Looma, okay?).
He picks one of the items up off the table beside him and holds it up - it's a picture of a bird with some words atop it that read: 'I took a calculated risk, but man, am I bad at math' and titled on the frame as "Self Portrait". ]
I feel this is a very sassy and unwarranted attack on my character, Atroma. Is there something you're trying to tell me?

I feel this is a very sassy and unwarranted attack on my character, Atroma. Is there something you're trying to tell me?

And if nothing else, you can always talk to me. I'm not a professional, but I'll at least listen.
[ He gave him a relieved smile, glad the other was finally agreeing to seek help. ]
no subject
[He's still unsure. Unsure if it would actually work. Unsure if he could even talk about it anyway. But there is one thing he is sure of- he gives Kirk a sad smile.]
No. You do not want to know about my past. You would not see me the same.
[He's done things that makes his own skin crawl- he couldn't bear it to have Kirk look at him differently, knowing all the darkness that's inside him. No. It's better this way.]
no subject
[ He would argue that, but he felt he had pushed Fenris far enough today and gotten quite the progress from him already in the willingness to even seek help. So he just smiled and nodded, touching his cheek gently. ]
Come on then, let's see to this new inventory then. The captain should know what we have to defend ourselves with, right?
no subject
I've largely been collecting swords.
[Because...well, yeah. Swords. He likes stabbing people. ]
no subject
Oh. Well... I mean that's good for certain situations I'm sure. Have we gotten any new guns in?
no subject
[You can kill someone from so far away, you'd never see the white of their eyes. Still, he wanders over to a small collection of guns.]
They are nothing special, really. More for the rest of the crew, should you all need them.
no subject
True, but distance is sometimes preferable in a fight.
[ Like when you didn't want to potentially get stabbed by someone. ]
Hmm, all right, but we should still keep a regular documentation of them, just in case. You know, make sure one hasn't disappeared or anything.
no subject
[That's not the warrior way. The warrior way is to stab a thing until it can't stab you any more. ]
I do keep track of my weapons, you know. We have to be prepared for whatever war we will eventually face with Atroma- and one will come. One day.
no subject
I would appreciate regular check-up reports though. Inventory once a month, if we could?
[ He phrased it as a question on purpose for Fenris, though he was clearly hoping for a yes. Or at least a favorable compromise. ]
no subject
If it would make you feel better, I suppose I could.
no subject
[ He gives him a long suffering look back. ]
It really would. I'll even help. We'll be forced to spend time together at least once a month with your favorite things.
[ Oh so horrible. The most horrible. ]

Well, you do have that adorable diary. You know the one. With the sparkling unicorn?
[ He grinned broadly, moving past Fenris to go and inspect the guns. ]
no subject
Right. The diary. I forgot about it.
no subject
[ Kirk touched a hand over his heart in mock hurt. ]
But it sparkled!
no subject
Yes. Obnoxiously so.
no subject
It was not obnoxious. It was sweet and put some color into your room.
[ He pursed his lips to keep from pouting at him, though he was only having fun, not actually upset. ]
no subject
I like my room in shades of black and grey.
no subject
[ He takes it like a champ. ]
Then it shouldn't be hard to find the journal, now should it?
no subject
no subject
No, not now. The fact you can tells me you still have it.
[ He smirked broadly, smugly, as if he had just won some wager or other. ]
no subject
I may like you but I assure you that does not prevent me from punching you.
no subject
It's very sweet how you've held back this long.
[ Snarky snark snark. Look, two can play this game. He goes against Bones and Spock on a regular basis, Fenris. Game on. ]
no subject
I has taken every ounce of my willpower, I assure you.
