[ The only conclusion is that age sucks, period.

She'd commiserate the best she can in a situation where it may arise, but you can never know the extent that others go through. In this situation, in particular, it's one she couldn't even fathom. She figures he's around her age, thereabout; give or take a few years. Jill gauges him around twenty-five or so. She's able to derive pleasure from the company of any age, though so long as they're solid people. Thus far she only gauges that she doesn't dislike him and that his company isn't unwelcome.

Always seems to be the case, doesn't it? Glad I'm not terribly indecisive. [ There were other options now, but it didn't feel like it was so open she was left standing still. She's careful not to drink too fast and let it all hit her hard, but it does wonders for easing her up. Whatever nerves were a little prickly earlier have already disappeared into the empty half of her glass. ] Be pretty funny if it was a minuscule planet we ended up at now that you've said that, right? Guess it'd be easier to cover in that case. Around how long do we stay... uh, would "docked" be the right term? Anyway, around how long does the fleet usually stick to a planet?
