Who: Oren and you!
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Marsiva
When: Evening...?!
[With his arms stretched wide, Oren is now taking in the view of the Marsiva's large windows.]
Well, I should count myself blessed to witness this with my own eyes! [He laughs, and it sounds joyous, if short. Turning in place, his hands fall back to his sides, and he's flashing a grin around the area. Night. Night, this was definitely night... And there were others here, he'd just not run into them. So what does he do?]
Have I missed the celebrations? The dancing? [Finally, he stops stepping backwards and turns to face the window yet again. Expansive and dark, but as captivating as it was-- what did this mean for Nocta?]
Night falls, and all it's met with is quiet? Tell me, have you all been stunned to silence, or am I left here alone with this view?

i reject your wiggling
[Messiah, oh loser of Nocta.] You taunt me, though! I do hope you're still not upset over leaves. The minute I step foot off of this... ship, well, I do expect a full tour.
[Call it a date.]
you were never good enough for my wiggling
Then perhaps you should get a guide! Your new crewmates may know of one. If only we could check in advance.
[You want a date? Work for it.]
whoa
A guide could not replace you. [Laying it on thick, but he never has anything against that.] Are you upset after all? Mattias, I had hoped we could come to an understanding!
Or do you plan to leave me?

To the ends of space. [It comes out purely genuine. And well, it is.]
no subject
Laughing lightly, Mattias masks whatever yearning might have been.]
Even when you know so little about it! Well, [he settles from his laughter with a feline grin and a glimmer of mischief] with such devotion, how could I refuse?
[The words come out without permission. He's given up thinking. Given up considering the consequences. The laughter is light and the memories are heavy. Which he'll favor is clear.] I will gladly be your guide.
no subject
That's what I like to hear! [He's won once more. It was strange that he had to fight for this at all. Between this and losing Nocta, he's got some homework here.]
Think of the fun! My fearless guide and I-- oh, that's not quite right. [He laughs at that prod, looking to Mattias like he expects him to join in.] I wonder... What adjective would you suggest?
no subject
Hm. No. I think fearless is right. Though I wouldn't protest if handsome and charming wormed their way in as well. Just to keep it company. Of course.
no subject
Handsome? [He says that with a hint of disbelief, laughs bubbling between his words.] Why don't we add humble, then?
no subject
no subject
[Because that whole list is completely accurate, he's sure.]
Perhaps by the time we meet in person I'll have a few more to spare. [Adjectives, that is. His tone sure makes it sound like they'll be nice.]
no subject
You flatter me, that I'd occupy your mind so, though I do hope it's not constant. Constant thought only spawns expectations that I would hate to leave unfulfilled.
no subject
[Unfulfilled and all. He smiles with it, though, like he's sympathizing with his position.]
You worry too much, Mattias! Toss your worries away and tell me, how many people are here? Have you met many yourself? Some have claimed that night is common.
[This better not have to do with nocta being lost??]
no subject
Yes, there are... [He clears his throat, ducking his head.] Our home is somewhat unique here. It seems night and day are peaceful in other worlds. Although-[a tinge of excitement]-I did hear a tale of a world in eternal night.
no subject
shoujo bubbles at u]Eternal? [His own voice sounds intrigued, but somehow he makes it so much more stable.] I'd liked to have seen your face at that! Just how did that work? Was it peaceful?
no subject
But... no. I heard it was a time of war. A parallel to our own time, perhaps. [It seems like a warning now.] It sounded as something from a child's tale. Monsters roaming, stuff of that sort. Preposterous by our own standards but... [He shrugs.] To be frank, we are surrounded by preposterous people here.
no subject
It’s not so preposterous from the middle of it, I suppose. [Except how it really is, but he’s trying not to deal with excessive emotions right now.]
no subject
You're right, though not in the way you may have intended. It's not the people at fault, but the monster that causes us to act. "Among the fault of millions, only one is to blame." [He smiles.] Tanghi. The Concept of War.
[Doubtless Oren already knows. He chuckles.] Unfortunately, I do believe he meant it literally.
no subject
Really, though, are we to start quoting at each other again? If we’re on Tanghi, I feel he has a few more apt quotes later on.
no subject
Oh? Feel free to educate me on them, Master Oren. Consider me your pupil.
no subject
[Like it's something to be embarrassed about.] I think not. You'd have me bother with teaching so soon after my arrival?
no subject
[In other words: he wins.]
no subject
[There he goes again. Habit? Maybe.] If a Master you so desire, I could spare the time. But I do wonder if you understand what you'd be in store for! Why, it seems something has gone right over your head already.
[Oh, he is grinning so much it can't be good. Public viewing like this is just too much fun to pass up. He'd love to see his face if and when he realizes, and if not-- well, there's amusement to be had in that, as well.] Shall I count the moments before that smirk wipes off your face? Go on, Mattias, do surprise me.
no subject
Oh, goddess.
Drawing back from the camera, he covers his mouth, eyes wide.] I—That wasn't— [Not that it's a necessarily bad idea. What? No. No, definitely not thinking about that.] —It was a joke. I didn't mean... That is not the type of discipline I enjoy.
[shit. that's—] —Not that I enjoy any discipline but if I did, it... it wouldn't be that!
[No, that's not right either. He slumps in his seat, dragging a hand down his face.] Oh, goddess.
no subject
You're as skittish as usual. I was joking. Don't be silly. [He'd never do that with you??] Now, where are you, anyway, if not here on this ship?
