This meager allowance that they've started us off with really is a shame, isn't it? Only enough to make one significant purchase... and even then, we must choose between vitals such as palatable food, and those luxuries that keep us sane and happy.

It's not really the amount that is important, it's the quality. I'm looking for good, soft metals. Or gemstones.

Humans, and as I've learned later, other beings are tricksy little fuckers, who have all sorts of ways of hiding if they're being truthful or not. For demons, it's easier, we don't have free will, or rather, we're not supposed to. It's a lot harder to deceive, like that.
