[Here is a little redhead, glass of wine in hand, who appears to be right-side up, yet in the background everything appears to be… upside down? The kitchen is upside down, apparently.]

Question for all of you. It’s been brought to my attention numerous times that some of you don’t come from a world where people have fancy kinds of powers.

For those of you who do, what kind of powers have you experienced? How do yours work? I’ve heard some say theirs are elemental based, while others are based on magic.

For those of you who don’t, have you ever wondered what having special powers is like? There has to be something more interesting than, say, if you were invisible, you'd spy on someone.

[And then he cuts the feed.]

Spying people is fun, but it can get dull if you run out of newcomers.

Wait a minute. Are you saying... Have you spied on people here?! And more specifically... me?!

[That's how he took it, and is sure that, knowing her, is exactly what she's saying.]

Of course I've spied on people. You've seen me work, I've obviously had stealth training. And no, not you. You're easy to read already.

Tch! You only think I'm easy to read because nothing where I have to be absolutely serious has ever happened.

[He doesn't count the heist as "that serious" of a thing.]

You get drunk so easily I feel embarrassed for you, your taste is porn is questionable at best, and you treat your hat like a lover. I really don't need to know much more than that.

Are there sorts of powers you consider not fancy?

[Chuuya nods.]

Once there was a guy in my crew who had the power to make small flames with his hands. I think he thought it was cool, but it was sad, really. A lighter would have worked just the same.

[Fie just looks at him completely unimpressed.]

I never said it was necessarily a bad thing. It also means you know how to enjoy things some people might not and you take care of what's important to you.

Unless you're saying that's not true, too.

No... It is true.

[Now he just feels silly for getting angry, which... makes him angry.]

You just. You made it sound like terrible things all around. That's really annoying!

So fanciness is a factor of power, then?

[Sometimes he asks questions because he really wants to know, and other times he does it to be obnoxious. All the better when he can accomplish both tasks at once]

Hm, well the hat thing is a little unsettling at times, but everyone has their quirks.

[Like most of her own personality.]

Oh, you also jump to conclusions really fast. [Now there's a light smirk.]

[Well, he can't argue with either of those points, so he leaves them alone.]

So... what are you doing, anyway? Being upside down like that.

There a reason you're so interested?

[There's a general knowledge about biotics - especially where the Asari are concerned - in her own world, but she's wondering here if she should play it more close to the chest.]

Upside dow-- oh. [Fie looks around and realizes what's going on.] Hang on a sec.

[What comes next is a whirl of movement turbulent enough to give a person watching motion sickness. It ends with her feet landing on the ground with a little 'hup' noise from her.]

Sorry. I'm just hanging out in the cargo bay. Forgot that for a moment.

[Yes, she meaning hanging out. Upside down from a bar on the ceiling.]

Exactly how do you define fancy powers? Would powers brought about by special tools count, or do you mean the kind people are born with?

[Chuuya laughs at the question.]

But of course! What's a special power if not something fancy? That's part of what makes it a special ability, after all. If it isn't fancy, then it probably isn't anything special!

[Special tools? That piques his interest.]

What's this about special tools? Tell me more so I can get a better understanding of what you mean.

I might be looking for some competition to spice things up!

[He's mostly kidding, but he won't say no to some competition either.]

[Chuuya grins, always happy to have wine alongside good company.]

That's a great idea, Ardyn! When do you want to get together?

[Heh, that was pretty amusing, so he laughs a little.]

Sometimes it's nice to have a view from a different perspective, isn't it?

Devices that allow one to either enhance what they can already do. Sometimes a little machinery is all you need to gain the upper hand.

Maybe so. But it seems to me that special is also a matter of context. What if you come from a world where many people have a similar ability, then the only difference is the level of that that ability that would potentially make it special. Or perhaps you have such an ability but here, where people can do things such as...stand on the ceiling...for example...[He smiles a little, nodding his head ever so slightly towards the camera]...that makes it seem quite a bit less fancy in comparison.
