Meet me at the altar in your white dress
Who: Everyone
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Kayanni System, the city
When: NOW
There is a wedding on the planet. You may know this because you were invited to this wedding by this little guy and it's a lovely ceremony! You can watch the couple get married, wether you know them or not, the whole fleet was invited.Even if they don't know you either.
Noctis was in all black and he was beside himself, the time had finally come and after seeing his beautiful bride he couldn't look away. The music was soft yet appropriate. Luna was beaming, holding onto Shiro's arm down the aisle until they were together and holding hands. The vows went on as if in another room. Noctis couldn't quite focus on them, he was fighting getting sucked into Luna's orbit and just kissing her prematurely. Distantly he heard his cue to repeat after the offician and he recited his vows word for word. Umbra had their rings ready for them. When he put Luna's on her finger he felt a tear spill down his cheek. He couldn't stop smiling. The officiant led Luna then and Noctis hung on every word. Her voice was melodic and soft. Then he had a ring on his finger and he felt himself crying again. He just looked at her, he officiant left them through the end, announcing it was over, they were married.
Noctis didn't wait for any cue, he pulled Luna in close and dipped her as they kissed.
SO Have at the reception everybody!
There is a: Dance floor with music booming, a buffet with delicious food and CAKE, There is BOOZE of all types and it's just flowing with no signs of stopping, and sparklers! Also dancing with the bride..... or getting a photo with the couple!

Before the ceremony - Luna - OTA
Or come pick her up to walk her down the aisle.
Or just come and hang out with the bride to be. There's many options, really! ]

That's what he told himself.
But Aerith is here now, and Cloud is reminded starkly of their differences. So getting the invitation hadn't been a disappointment or a rude awakening or anything so much as it had been...something. He's happy for Luna, of course; especially since she seems really happy. And he doesn't know what the hell to do at weddings or how to like, taste cakes and all that shit, so he'd skipped that part but what kind of person would he be if he skipped this on account of a little mild heartache?
Answer: a fantastically huge jerk.
So he stops by the door and sees her struggling with comb attached to the veil and clears his throat softly, knocking on the doorjamb.] ...hey. Uh, need any help with...? [Gestures to her veil]
no subject
As happy as she is, she is a little nervous, which probably shows how she fumbles a little with the lovely little hair pin that she'd gotten from her gift basket, a gift originally from one of the Kingsglaive members whom she had been killed on her way to come escort her from Tenebrae. She's at least managed to properly attach the veil, but now that it's put together she can't... quite get it into her hair.
So when she hears the light knocking and the familiar voice, she turns to face Cloud with a bright, appreciative smile. ]
I would be most grateful for your help, yes. Thank you so much, Cloud. [ She lifts up the hem of her dress and makes her way over to him, offering up the pin with her veil attached. ] I cannot seem to get it to stay in.
no subject
He's not quite sure what he's doing but he's pretty sure he can figure it out, and takes the comb from her to find a way to fit it into her bound-up hair so the veil flips over the back properly.] Did you do all this stuff all yourself? Like your dress and makeup and everything? [Sure, he'd watched Aerith spruce herself up all on her own for the Don Corneo thing, but he'd needed almost an entire sector worth of help to get himself presentable enough to pass.] Don't brides usually have like, girlfriends and stuff helping them with this?
no subject
I did do it all myself. I... actually have no idea what brides usually have. [ She... didn't exactly have a whole lot of friends back home. Noctis had been her only true friend from a distance, and while she'd had Gentiana, she'd been there as a messenger and to offer advice as a higher being. ] I suppose most do, but I'm afraid that I haven't quite made many female friends here.
[ She's got... two? And they're more acquaintance than friends. Actually, now that she really thinks about it, she should probably do something about that and actually attempt to be a little more social. But she's glad to have the friends she does have, female or not.
Which is exactly why she's flashing him a playful smile suddenly. ]
I believe most brides have... bridesmaids? And a single maid of honor. Would you like to be my man of honor, Cloud?

But his voice is soft.] Lunafreya? Are you ready?
no subject
When she hears that knock on the door, she rushes over to open it, smiling brightly at Shiro. ] I am almost ready... you look so handsome, Shiro. Come in and make yourself comfortable while I finish up. I won't be long, I promise.
no subject
...wow. Luna, you look beautiful. [He closes the door behind him, the compliment she gave him forgotten for now.] It's alright, I can wait. It's a big day, take your time to get ready. [They won't let anything go wrong! He hesitates for a second before finally asking.] I don't know if there's anything I can help with?
no subject
That train of thought wrecks itself before it can get too far though when Shiro speaks, and she smiles again. ] Thank you very much. Ah, I do not have much left to do. I just need to put my shoes on and the last few touches.
[ Because she's not running around in high heels just yet, and she's still got to finish clipping her usual braids in place. She pauses mid-step, though, tipping her head in thought. ] Actually if you would not mind, would you please get my bouquet? I have it stored in that little cooler over in the corner of the room.
[ They aren't her beloved sylleblossoms from home, but her bouquet flowers come in a close second. At least some of them are blue. ]
no subject
Just like he expected, "shoes and last few touches" don't sound like something he can help with. Or more like, he could, but he shouldn't, because he doesn't know the first thing about hair dressing. Ah! But there's something he can do. Even if it's not much...]
Yes, of course.
[Woah, that's one big bouquet. He takes his time taking it out of the cooler, his walk slow when he brings it to Luna. It's so delicate, he's worried he may break a flower or something.]
It's a nice bouquet, but I admit I'm surprised to see the blue. I thought you'd go all white.

He was right. You are beautiful.
[ Which is, clearly, the best thing to say to someone before you've introduced yourself. ]
Lunafreya?
no subject
What she isn't expecting, though, is someone throwing such a nice compliment her way out of absolutely no where. She quickly turns around, cheeks a light pink color, and spots someone familiar. She knows this other woman, but only through Cloud's memories. That, of course, will be kept to herself -- what happened in the poor man's head will stay between the two of them, but it's an actual relief to see her here in the flesh. It's good to know that Cloud has someone from his world here he can rely on, too.
She smiles and quickly offers Aerith a polite bow of greeting. ]
You are too kind... thank you very much. [ As she straightens, she folds her hands neatly in front of herself, nodding. ] Yes, that is me... you are Aerith? Cloud has told me about you. It is so wonderful to finally meet you.
no subject
Perhaps she ought to have asked before she'd just turned up, but she doesn't think it's too much of a problem. She'd been invited, sort of, and now she was here - and maybe she could do something to help, woman to woman. There weren't too many other people around after all, and there are flowers to take care of and adjustments to do, here and there. ]
You're welcome. [ She bows back, even with the soft smile on her face. ] Cloud told me about you, too. It's nice to meet one of his friends. [ Because he doesn't have many, yo. ]
no subject
Luna doesn't mind at all. It's nice to have another female to talk to, especially one whom has been through what she has in a sort of way... she knows, after all, enough to know that she and Aerith share a few specific things in common thanks to poor Cloud's memories. ]
Please, come in, make yourself comfortable. [ She gestures to the chair or the loveseat, her smile widening. ] Any friend of Cloud's is a friend of mine. Is there anything I can get you? I have a few bottles of water, if you are thirsty.

Jill cleans up pretty well (even if she's nearly twice the size of the model), the navy blue dress riding up a little higher thanks to her wide hips and thighs, as well as her chest. This one was the most plain and suitable to her tastes on short notice, mostly thanks to the way it covers the chest so there's no questions about the scarring she has there. The low heels aren't terribly comfortable, but it's always nice to get a boost on her height; even at barely an inch more, they give a different perspective of things.
Still, she pauses before entering. ]
I should've known the dress would be as stunning as the bride herself. [ There's a hint of teasing to her voice and crooked smile, but there's no lie to the words she's chosen. ] Anything I can get you while you're stuck in here?
no subject
She quickly turns to properly face Jill, gesturing for her to come on in and make herself at home if she should so like. ]
You are far too kind, thank you so much. [ She bows with gratitude, before she straightens and looks up again. ] But you are one to talk, just look at you. You look absolutely gorgeous. No, silly... you need not worry about me. Come, sit, relax. Talk with me while I finish getting ready. How are you today?
no subject
I'd say I'm just kind enough. I dislike flattery for the sake of it, so when I say something like that, it's all truth. [ What she's saying is it's her own doing and she should thank herself in that case, but she knows how weird the compliment game (however true they may be) can become. Still a compliment given to her is enough to have her ears and neck tinge red more than her face, like she's trained herself not to be obvious when she's embarrassed. Fingers loosely dovetail, twist together. ] Ah, well, I didn't think it would be appropriate to show up in my usual gear.
[ It passes quickly as she tries to be subtle in seeking out the details of the other woman's outfit without being too intrusive. It really is stunning and she's not surprised by it in the least. ]
Oh, I'm quite well. Enjoying myself. What isn't to enjoy, after all, on a day like this? Hate to admit it but I do eat this kind of thing up. The affection is contagious.
no subject
Thank you very much, regardless. I just hope Noctis feels the same way. [ She smiles fondly; she's got no idea what Noctis is going to think of all of this, or how he's feeling right now, but she knows him well enough to know that he's got to be a giant ball of nerves and she's glad he's got Prompto with him to help him keep his cool. Jill's reaction to her compliment has her smile widening, however, and she shakes her head. ] You look beautiful no matter what you wear, silly.
[ Finally, Luna manages to get her stupid veil in place, and for a split second she freezes, hands hovering at the base of her ponytail as if waiting for the thing to droop out. When it doesn't, she drops her arms and looks a little triumphant. ]
I'm glad to hear that, Jill. [ It's her turn to turn a little pink at the mention of affection and the wedding and just... it's still a little surreal that this is happening. ] I hope the mood remains the same for the rest of the day, then!

How could I *forget*
Can't wait to call you my wife. Just a few more hours.
[Short and to the point, just like their notebook. He put a cool sticker with his message. They have a tradition here, ok?]
HOW COULD YOU?
I am ecstatic to become Mrs. Noctis Lucis Caelum, and I cannot wait to be at your side at the altar.
[ She finishes it off with a lip-stick kiss against the paper, before she hands it off to Umbra who runs it back! ]
no subject
It's certainly the fact that she is a sight for sore eyes. And perhaps it's the fact that they all know that when they return to Eos, this won't be happening. That Noctis and Lunafreya, out of everyone he knows, deserve some happiness wherever they can reach it, even if Ardyn is still free and causing them all headaches.
He sees her having trouble with the veil and slips through the door as if it's not there before coming over and releasing the gauzy fabric from her normally very steady hands.]
Allow me, Milady.
[He smiles as he slowly arranges the veil around her.]
It's a shame that Lord Ravus couldn't be here as well.
[And Gladio. And Regis. And so many more.]
no subject
Good evening, Ignis, and thank you.
[ Her smile only widens, clearly relieved to have someone who knows what he's doing getting the veil settled properly, and she nods her head to him in agreement. ]
Yes... I wish everyone could have come. I suppose they are with us in spirit.
[ ...Literally, in some cases. ]
no subject
My pleasure.
[And, honestly, he means that. Helping Lunafreya, Noctis and the others around him does bring him pleasure. Not that anyone would truly believe him unless they knew what it was like to grow up in service.]
I'm sure that they all wish they were here as well. Prompto will just have to take enough pictures that they will feel like that they were here with us should they grace us with their presence aboard the Fleet.
Not that I think we'll be able to keep him from doing otherwise.
no subject
That sounds like a wonderful idea, and knowing Prompto he will do so in spades. He's very talented with his camera, and I am excited to see how his pictures turn out. He hasn't shown us any of the ones he has taken of us thus far because he said he wants for us to wait until he makes a proper wedding album.
[ She chuckles a little. She is looking forward to seeing that album, too, and she knows that Noctis is as well. ]
No, I believe he is going to be a very busy man this evening with that camera of his.
