There is a wedding on the planet. You may know this because you were invited to this wedding by this little guy and it's a lovely ceremony! You can watch the couple get married, wether you know them or not, the whole fleet was invited.Even if they don't know you either. 

Noctis was in all black and he was beside himself, the time had finally come and after seeing his beautiful bride he couldn't look away. The music was soft yet appropriate. Luna was beaming, holding onto Shiro's arm down the aisle until they were together and holding hands. The vows went on as if in another room. Noctis couldn't quite focus on them, he was fighting getting sucked into Luna's orbit and just kissing her prematurely. Distantly he heard his cue to repeat after the offician and he recited his vows word for word. Umbra had their rings ready for them. When he put Luna's on her finger he felt a tear spill down his cheek. He couldn't stop smiling. The officiant led Luna then and Noctis hung on every word. Her voice was melodic and soft. Then he had a ring on his finger and he felt himself crying again. He just looked at her, he officiant left them through the end, announcing it was over, they were married.

Noctis didn't wait for any cue, he pulled Luna in close and dipped her as they kissed.

They were laughing and crying and holding each other tight. They were in their own world for the time being. But the RECEPTION starts now. And that's what everyone really came for. There's alcohol, food in a buffet, and cake . Those of you at the cake tasting with them may notice the flavor you recommended is available as a donut! All of the suggested flavors are availalble, it was hard to decide who didn't get their favorite and what ONE flavor to make an entire cake out of. It didn't sit well with either of them. 

Also sparklers  There is a table with a few gifts on it, but it contains a large display of long sparklers with matches and a bucket of water saying "Please light up our night!" 

SO Have at the reception everybody!

There is a: Dance floor with music booming, a buffet with delicious food and CAKE, There is BOOZE of all types and it's just flowing with no signs of stopping, and sparklers! Also dancing with the bride..... or getting a photo with the couple!

[He would gladly answer any questions about Gladiolus should she ask, but after the peeks she's had at his life before arriving in this strange Fleet, it makes since that she needn't do so to understand him. In a way, it's comforting, but it has its downside as well. Like the sharing of things he'd rather kept to himself.]

I agree, but as they're both royalty, small and simple wasn't an option before coming here.

[Their marriage was to unite legend with flesh and an entire world.]

Honestly, it's his loss for not being here. If Prompto and I could both make it, as well as other elements, then there's no excuse for him.

Being royalty sounds like a pain in the ass.

[She's blunt, but look what's the point of being rich and powerful if you can't do whatever you want. Like having a simple wedding with sparklers and donuts.

She smirks a little at his next comment, though.]

Yeah, I guess he's just being lazy and slacking on being abducted by aliens.

Being royalty means that your life is not really your own. I imagine that if we were to ask Noctis that he would agree with your sentiment.

[Not that Ignis disagrees, but his life is also not his own. Not really.]

He is failing at his job. It's not just laziness. He's leaving his duties to others.

[And not letting Ignis take an actual kingsitting break.]

[When he puts it like that, that makes it sound even worse to her. With everything she and the others in her party have been through the concept of living a life of your own choosing is important to her. The idea of not having that option because of a mistake of birth is pretty unpleasant.]

Yeah. He'd agree because I'm right.

[No one can say she lacks conviction.]

I guess he'll need a good talking to if he ever shows up.

[Giving Gladio a hard time seems pretty legit to Velvet, even if she's never met him.]

[There is no other way for him to put it. His life, even though he isn't royalty, isn't his. It belongs to the service of his prince—now his king. By extension of this ceremony, it also now belongs to Lunafreya.]

I won't disagree with you, but I believe that duty is extremely important as well.

[Conviction is something that he also has in spades. It's just in a different vein, that's all.]

Shall I leave that up to you? He's more likely to listen to a beautiful woman than myself. I believe that my lectures have long lost their effectiveness with him.

Sure.

[She actually understands duty, to an extent. In a way. She knows what it is to devote yourself to something. Or someone. She was dedicated to Laphi, to making him better, to giving him a life. And then, later, to avenging him.

It wasn't enough, in the end.]

But it's okay to be selfish sometimes. [She looks back down at her sparkler.] Sometimes it's all that's left.

[His request that she scold his friend makes her laugh a little, though. A quiet huff as she glances at him again. The compliment was delivered smoothly enough that it doesn't make her feel weird or awkward. She just accepts it, and the challenge.]

[After seeing her devotion to her younger brother before his murder, he's sure that Velvet does understand what he means when he speaks about duty, to a certain extent. Being an only child, he can't really talk about devotion to a younger sibling, but he's seen the way that Gladio is with Iris and he imagines that it was much the same for her and her brother.]

I'm sure that's true for most people.

[In truth, he doesn't even know what that would mean for him. He's never really had time that was just for him. He's always focused on others.]

I've never really had that luxury, to be honest.

[His smile fades and he looks away, but not moving from her side. He knows that she has seen enough about him to know what he means, but it's hard for him to talk about himself like that.]

Just be prepared for him to not take you too seriously. At first.

[Her tone is really more teasing than threatening.

Then she tilts her head a little, thoughtfully as she watches the bride and groom.]

I don't see why you couldn't have the luxury here, if you wanted to.

[If Noctis and Luna can have a cute little wedding like this, instead of an elaborate royal one, there's no reason Ignis can't pursue his own interests if he wants. Especially since Noctis will probably be kind of occupied with his wife for awhile.]

I don't doubt that you are very persuasive when you want to be.

[And even though she's teasing and he is in his own way, he is also remembering things that he shouldn't know, things that she probably didn't want anyone to know about her without her permission.

However, her concern over him is touching.]

What in the world would I do? I can't see myself lounging around idly for hours at a time. Can you?

[She looks at him again, raising an eyebrow.]

No, because that's not you. You could do things you enjoy. Visit some libraries, maybe. That sort of thing.

[She's never been a big reader herself, but she knows that Ignis is. It seems like she's always surrounded by people who enjoy reading and research. And it's definitely something potentially relaxing that isn't just lounging idly.]

[There is something very charming about the way that Velvet's expression says everything and more than what she does.]

What makes you think that I don't do that already? I do take time to do things I enjoy while carrying out my duties. Our lessons are but one of those.

[He's also managed to go shopping for books and things on his own while looking for ingredients for the meals for the First Breath.]

I promise that I don't spend my entire time following after Noctis and Lunafreya to clean up their messes.

[Well, okay, it's kind of nice to know that he considers the lessons something to enjoy. She fidgets with the sparkler a little and huffs.]

[Of course he does. Why should he not? She's pleasant to speak with, despite her brusque nature. She's smart, though she doesn't really act as if she thinks she is. She's eager to experiment alongside him. She doesn't pry when he doesn't talk a great deal.

It's a nearly ideal partnership for him.

Besides, it doesn't hurt that she is easy on the eyes.]

One must start somewhere, it's true. And I read books, but I.... you should know by now that I am not a man who does well without duty of some kind.

[That's all the mention of his own Calibrations room that he wants to make. Unless she forces the topic.]

[She glances at him again, thoughtful. She can see his point, really. She knows what he means. But she still thinks her point stands, too.]

Sure. Just think of it as a duty to yourself.

[He gives her a sad smile, feeling the contradiction within himself to both want to do for himself for a change and to serve Noctis as his friend and retainer.

And yet, he definitely has desires that have nothing to do with duty at all.]

I could attempt to do that, but it wouldn't work for long. I might require assistance.

[She tilts her head a little at that.]

Yeah? What kind of assistance?

Someone to remind me should I slip into my old ways.

[He looks at her straight in the face. He's being bolder than normal. Maybe it's the alcohol that he really doesn't drink much of at times. Or maybe it's the fact that it's her beside him.]

You spoke of luxury, or finding some sort of distraction. Perhaps you should be ready to accept some part of this project.

[Her eyes widen just a fraction, something about the way he looks directly at her when he says it surprising her a little. It almost feels like a challenge.]

Sure. I can probably manage something.

[His eyes and mouth turn into a smile as he takes her hand not holding the sparkler and places a kiss upon the smooth fabric of her glove.]

I'll hold you to that.

[And he surprises her again. Moreso this time. Both because of the kiss and because he chose to kiss that hand in particular. He knows it's dangerous. He's seen some of her memories.]

You...

[She falters a little, blushing and flustered, honestly not sure what to say.]

[He knows which hand it is that he's just kissed. He knows what she can do with it. He's seen her memories. They haven't talked about it before now, but this is his declaration that he doesn't care. Daemon Lord or not, he knows what kind of person that she is under her bravado and anger.

And she deserves to be treated kindly by those close to her.]

Yes? I what?

[And now's the time to force her to at least talk to him about what they've both seen about each other's past. It's beyond time.]

[Looks like she's not going to be able to just ignore calibrations any more.]

You know that hand is dangerous.

[Not really a complaint. Just a statement of fact. He knows what it can do now.]

[Did she really think it was possible? Did she think he was going to ignore it forever? It's not as if everything she saw of his own past is pleasant, but he knows that her own is a point of contention for her. Best to get it out of the way, as he did with Hermione.

However, Velvet requires action, not talking.]

I do. But I also know that you control how dangerous it is.

[He stands up straight but keeps her hand in his own.]

Or am I wrong? Are you unable to control yourself?

[She glowers at him. For a moment she looks positively sullen. She knows he's not trying to insult her, but she is being called out. And these things are difficult to talk about.]

I can control myself just fine.

[Even knowing exactly how dangerous she is, how determined to gain revenge against the person who forced her to become who and what she is, Ignis cannot help but stand here under the weight of her irritation and still find her admirable.]

Then what I thought still applies. Unless you plan to do me harm, which I doubt is the case, I am as safe in your presence as I was five seconds ago.
