[Anyone on the Caprine can probably hear when Doudanuki wakes up because he does so by yelling loudly as he jumps out of bed. He can't remember the last time he was awake and that concerns him - a lot.

So fellow Capriners will probably hear him as he thunders around checking on people or trying to figure out why the hell he was unconscious for an entire month. How he greets them depends on whether he knows them yet or not:

[Later, after he realizes that comas are just things that happen because why not? This place is insane enough already.

And then he's at the comms station and notices something weird.]

What happened to that other ship? What the hell did you guys do while I was asleep??

[Yesterday and last month are preeeetty different there, Peebee. That said, he can forgive her for not being completely certain.

But the way she grins at him causes him to take a step back and raise an eyebrow.]

Uh, I'm a sword, so whatever a sword can do. I fight and I've fought in a lot of wars, both as a weapon and in this human body.

[Is that cool though? He just figures it's his purpose.]

You did engineering before you came here, too?

I mean, I'm kinda a weapon too but it's without turning into anything else. Can you turn into a sword? Because honestly you don't look very sword-like right now.

Hm? Oh, yeah. I did a bit of engineering. Mostly my own projects, building stuff, reverse engineering stuff, that sorta thing. How about you? Have you done any engineering before?

[He says 'manifestation of spirit' and she just has drop her tools and spring up, rushing over to push a hand at his shoulder. Yes, she's totally ignoring his question for now. Or, as long as she can legitimately ignore it for.]

[UM PERSONAL SPACE, PEEBEE. He dodges her hand as much as he can, taking a step or two back.]

Yes, I am. I got a human body - I just ain't human. But I can demanifest and go back into my sword if I really gotta do it.

Okay so then you're a sword, what happens next? Can anyone wield you or will you just fly through the air on your own?

If I give 'em my blade, yeah, anyone could wield me. But for now, I draw myself and fight by myself.

[And to demonstrate? He steps back and pulls the katana out of its sheath, brandishing it with a little bit of pride. He's a straight, heavy sword, but he's a good cutting blade and still sharp after all these years.]

It's good to be able to fight for myself for once.

Oh hey, that's handy! Means you can partner up with someone but you're not dependent.

Guess so, but I'm not about to just hand my body off to just anyone.

[Even now, he's got a good grip on his sword and carries it everywhere with him. He's been refused entry to so many places already just because he refuses to leave his weapon behind.]

If this breaks, I'll die.

Pretty much. And 'cause there ain't a lot of swordsmen of the kind I'm used to on the Fleet, I'm not gonna be handing myself off to many people at all here.
