Deep Dreams Are Made of These - Open
Who: Keith, Huntress crew, Shiro, open text message
Broadcast: Text
Action: Huntress
When: The night of and morning after the visions/nightmares
[Darkness. Stars. It’s nighttime and the ground trembles. A deep underlying sense of panic permeates everything, tangible in the way your limbs shake and the expressions on people’s faces, though specific features seem to melt away. The darkness turns to red, and the red turns to fire… fire everywhere, uncontrollable and hungry. It burns at your limbs and for a brief second, you see a world-- a planet-- engulfed in a wave of red-orange death.
The background noise is a strange alien wailing, neither male nor female, but it is deep and you find you can almost understand the words. They are strong enough to be word-feelings, which makes them a little hard to concentrate on with the chaos otherwise found in the vision.
<Fire.> <Run.> <Help.>]
=====
on the huntress
[Keith jumped up in bed with a yell, breathing hard. He didn't have nightmares often, but that sure was one. He rubbed his face. Was that... tears? He looked at his hands for a moment, noticing that they were trembling. Keith hesitated, but then eventually reached for the communicator.
After speaking with Shiro, he made his way out to the common area for a bit. He needed to get out of his room. After the common area, he went to the shuttle bay to beat up the punching bag for a bit.]

What?
no subject
[That's it. After this, he knows he has to just let the matter drop.]
no subject
[He shrugged.]
no subject
[Internal victory dance. If his mood suddenly seems lifted a little bit, well...]
Unless that'd technically be you. Whatever, you get my point.
no subject
Yeah... whatever.
[It wasn't really a big deal, he supposed.]
Do you ever think you'll find your "Mrs Blue Lion"?
[Because one guy in what was basically college sounded more like experimentation than anything solid, so he'll go with the direct quote he'd heard from Hunk.]

well we all know Lance is bad at math
[He smiles, nudging Keith's shoulder again.]
Sorry, this went totally off the rails.
but he can figure out vargas and quintants!
It worked, though. It was a distraction.
[He gave Lance a small smile.]
Though, I don't know whose turn it is anymore...
THIS TRU!
[Yawn, and he gives a sheepish smile.]
I just practically interrogated you, so you can go now.
He can when he tries! LOL
[Though, Lance's yawn was kind of contagious, and Keith ended up yawning as well before asking his question.]
How long have you and Hunk been friends?
MORE HEADCANON THAT MIGHT BE JOSSED IF THEY EVER GET INTO THE DEETS
[He can't help but smile fondly.]
Yay for ongoing canons!
[Keith looked amused.]
I guess that just means there really isn't a type.
[Then again, if he really thought about it, he vaguely remembered Hunk being one of the engineers. That made sense, especially considering how sick he got while flying in the beginning. Keith was actually glad Hunk was getting better at controlling that.]

[Another little yawn.]
Has your hair always been styled like that?
no subject
Like what?
[He gave Lance a look. There was nothing wrong with his hair. It was just a little overgrown and unkempt. He'd never been overly particular about it.]
no subject
[Mullet. He didn't have to say it.]
no subject
My hair is fine.
no subject
[He reaches up, giving it a bit of a ruffle.]
no subject
Whatever.
[He sighed a little, staring off at nothing for a moment before closing his eyes.]
I just... never really worried about it. I don't really know specifically when I started keeping it like this. I just did.
no subject
[He gives him a wink.]
no subject
[He rolled his eyes a little, and then yawned again.]
Why is it such a big deal to you, anyway?
no subject
[He pauses, yawning as well. It's contagious.]
And maybe your hair isn't as dumb as I like to say sometimes.
no subject
Really?
[Color him dubious...]
no subject
[Small huff.]
no subject
[That honestly wasn't hard. Keith rarely expected them from Lance at all. It always surprised him when Lance said something complimentary towards him, considering how strongly Lance had carried that rivalry thing.]
Well... thanks...
You know... for coming over.
[Had they hit twenty questions? Keith wasn't sure, and frankly, it didn't really matter. He was starting to feel really sleepy now, and could really use a nap. He just hoped that he had managed to distance himself enough from the dream or vision or whatever that was to not see it again if he dozed off.]
