[Shay blinks in surprise at the interjection, but she is glad to see a familiar face (mask?). The Lyukites look taken aback by the interruption, but give Shay an apology if it means they'll get paid.

Shay has the good sense to keep quiet for the moment, blinking in confusion.]

[Yeah...his heart's been beating faster ever since 'Murdock' came out of his mouth, so maybe it doesn't mean anything that it's still tic-tocking faster than usual now but Matt's not really willing to give the kid the benefit of the doubt.]

Yuri thrives with Victor. What had been a source of constant anxiety was now comfort and love. He was petrified all the time before trying to be the best he could be to impress Victor or just earn his approval or be worth his time... Now he knows he's worth it but he wants to keep Victor around as much as he can.

He leans closer to Victor when his hand lands on his back. He admires a nice metal ornament, it's blue and turns to green then magenta in a nice ombre. The shopkeep says that one is one of his love ornaments.

"Oh, Victor, that one is pretty... but this one here is nice too... which do you like?"

[Victor grins at that chance and moves closer] Of course! I'd love to! If you want me as a subject I love taking pictures.

[Honestly, he just enjoys the attention]

"Do you think we have enough to get both? That way, you could have one and I could have one. It would be a little like our rings, to always remind each other of the other." He grins at the idea.

There is a part of his mind that still finds it out to worry about money, but he has to look out for that now to ensure that they don't run out of what they need.

It's still sad. Losing people... I haven't lost anyone yet. The only person who went home to my world is Ardyn and he will not be missed.

She glances over as well, watches as the ghost scans a (probably cheap, generic) framed painting on the wall, gathering info as if he needs it to make some sort of database... Some habits die hard, she guesses. She shakes her head. ]

He's fine. He actually really likes this planet, for some reason. Keeps flying off to scan stuff.

It's interesting here! They have so many common rituals and superstitions in their everyday lives, it seems mostly unconscious to them at this point! -- Also, thanks for your concern, but it's okay, I don't drink! Erm, can't drink. Though I admit, If I could, I'd be very curious to try.

[ Yeah that's the most he's said at once in front of anyone else in a while. He really must like it here... She quirks a tiny bit of a smile, sips at her drink. ]

She nods at his explanation - definitely from a world with computers, no worries about that one. But at the last sentence, she raises an eyebrow. ]

Yeah, I can imagine. I've got no bad intentions, promise.

[And that, at least, is the truth; it feels weird to have to reassure such things since he's only 18, but who even knows what this Matt's faced in his world or his timeline. He may not be superhero-ing yet. This could even be an alternate reality where he never becomes Daredevil. AUs are a huge pain in the ass...

It's something like that. Except instead of trading one good for another, you're trading something called money to them. Then they can trade that money to someone else when they want to get something from them. So you don't have to lug goods around all the time when you want something, and everyone mostly takes the same currency out here at least. And apparently back home, though Earth's still got a whole bunch of different ones.

[Lance isn't very good at economics but he'll still try to explain it okay.]

[It's a short shuttle flight to the system. They've got a base set up there with small, one seater ships docked along it. Lance hums a song to himself as they walk down from the shuttle bay to the main reception area.]

Grabs Billy by the shirt and drags him into a nearby alley, pressing him up against the wall just to make sure he doesn't go running off.]

Absently he knows he should be at least a little concerned- Daredevil is a master of his craft and could do plenty of damage before he could get a spell off, though he's confident he could escape if he had to. But it's hard not to be kind of... excited? Yeah, excited. Getting accosted by Matt Murdock in a dark alley like some kind of criminal is pretty damn cool.]

[Billy gets a nod as an answer, and immediately Shiro tries to move, which ends up being a circle around Billy, followed whirling upside down and then up again. More laughing - amazing doesn't start to describe it.]

Matt snaps his fingers in Billy's face, a little thrown by the trip-trapping heart of a boy decidedly not afraid of getting his face punched in.] Focus. I want answers.

Really? Great! I usually get my friends to humor me.

[But he doesn't know where Iggy and Noct are at the moment, and they aren't joined at the hip. Not always. Anyway, Noct has a wife to fawn over now.]

How about ... You stand in front of the rock here? It'll look great. Just act natural. [He shows Victor where to stand, muttering about the angle of light and something about contrast as he backs away and starts snapping off shots.]

[Victor is used to this. He's been the subject of photo-shoots since he was 16 and the rising star of the ice skating world. He knows how to use light to show off a complimentary side of his face, how to stand in a way that seems natural but is actually designed to give his body the best angle.

He isn't awkward at all as he tries out a few different angles and poses. If anything, it's nice to be doing something that feels so normal again.]
