[Felix idly shuffles the cards as he speaks, his eyes intent on Tyrion at all times]

I occurs to me that the market for this trade is rather saturated. The more of us that try to use this as a way to make credits the less chances we're going to have to be successful. However...you clearly have a knack for presentation...[He pauses his shuffling a moment to gesture up at the makeshift tent]...and this isn't the first time I've used fortune telling as a means. Together I imagine we could make a far more reputable-seeming enterprise than apart.

[Tyrion tipped his chin upwards, fingers still curled into his beard, mismatched eyes bright.]

So I provide the light show, and you provide the mystical arts. Together we make a fair profit all the way around. Yes ... yes I rather like that.

[Felix is delighted to see the avid interest he sees in Tyrion's face at the suggestion.]

I hoped you would. We could even take turns as front person. You clearly aren't uncomfortable with your words, and I have my methods when it comes to the light show...[To which he summons a constellation of witchlights inside the tent - several dozen tiny pale green motes that fill the dim space like stars. The effect is vaguely haunting.]

I myself learned the basics of reading cards from a Fressandran wizard who specialized in such things. I could say he'd be horrified to learn I've perverted his methods for financial gain, but I know for a fact he'd done the same for himself.

[A slow smile works over Tyrion's face, and he leans forward to offer his small, rough hand to Felix.]

Ser. You have yourself a partner. If you could in fact teach me a few things with those cards - we might be able to pull in a few more coins. People do love their cards when their fortunes are dire or good.

[Felix places his deck on the table and grasps Tyrion's hand with his own delicate but stiff-knuckled one]

I think it's the visuals that excite the mind. To be told is one thing, to have the very face of death staring up at you while someone says it is quite another.

Well then, it sounds like we're going to have to get creative with some of our visuals, yes?

[He thinks about that carefully.] I know flour, or some face paints, can turn your face quite pale, if applied correctly.
