[ She didn't manage to see the entirety of what's just happened, but she definitely sees him when he comes into the shop she's currently visiting, and the way he's muttering and holding his arm so close to himself is kind of strange. ]

Gloves, huh? Pushy fortune teller?

[He just...hates being touched. He hates people putting their hands on him unless he's done it himself first.]

I seem to have to show my palm to every other establishment if I have any hope of coming in to look at their wares. Apparently I look like someone who may attract mischievous spirits, which hardly surprises me, but it leads to far too much probing and questions. I once had to wear gloves when traveling back home...for different reasons, mind you...but I'm beginning to think it's a strategy I should revisit.

[He crosses his arms in lieu of such]

And ugh, his explanation just makes her roll her eyes at the antics of these people. God... ]

That sucks. Gloves can be stylish at least? [ Beat. ] Probably not much of a positive point, but it is one.

I'll try to view it as positive addition to my wardrobe. I see gloves without fingers are a common style. I never saw the point of them until just this moment...

Yeah, I think people think fingerless gloves make them look badass. Can't say I agree.
[ She pauses, a thought coming to her, then adds: ] Did you try telling people that touching your hands would curse them?

[ Look, they're superstitious enough it might just work. ]

And they'd likely never let me inside the building at all. I don't want to make an issue of it, I merely want to browse.
