Eyuzi System Mingle
Who: Everyone!
Broadcast: If you like!
Action: The planet Lyuku, the Iskaulit, and anywhere else you want
When: Sept 1 to Sept 28
[After a rather short time adrift, the fleet is finally in range of another planet. Small, peaceful, and colorful, there is plenty to do and explore.
Maybe it's enough to forget that vague feeling of unease.
Or not.]

Can't say we do. We don't exactly have 'mages' either, though there are some unexplained phenomena from time to time. The vast majority of the population are run of the mill mortal humans, like myself. [Cheeky grin! That's him, good ol' average Matt.]
no subject
...No mages would indeed render the question of Circles moot. [He frowns at the ground. It's hard to imagine a world without magic, perhaps even harder than imagining one without elves, dwarves, or qunari.
He's not sure if it's exactly a victory for justice if an unjust institution never comes into being because the people that would be oppressed literally don't exist, but he'll take it. Due to his augment, he doesn't sense the slight deception.]
We're beginning to approach the merchant. The stall is to your left.
[It's a stall overflowing with linens and cloth of all colors and sizes. The merchant at the stall tenses when Justice speaks, staring at him uncomfortably. She is still uneasy because he knew that one of her weavers was stealing just from touching the cloth. That's okay. He knows that he makes people uneasy.]
no subject
Ah, thank you. [Matt's not quite facing the merchant when he turns, but he can hear the way her heartbeat ticks up. Justice really must be one creepy looking motherfucker.] Would ypu happen to have any silk bedsheets?
[There's some back and forth with the merchant as she determines what exactly 'silk' is, and as she fetches swatches for him to sample, he turns to Justice.] I appreciate the help. You don't have to stick around if you don't want to, but I'll guess you want to know more about the legal system.

He doesn't get why people around him seem to get more nervous. He's trying, honest to goodness. Maybe he should ask Anders for help not scaring people so much.]
I would, actually. I do not know how you would like to explain it, however. It seems like it may take some time. [Like, do you want to sit down? Get something to drink while a spirit interrogates you about centuries of legal concepts?]
no subject
We'll probably have to do sessions. I owe you for the help here so I don't mind, but if you really want to get into the nitty gritty of everything I'm going to need references...which I don't have here, of course.
no subject
Perhaps we will find some. Or perhaps someone else has references. [He almost says that he can just use Matt's cane. Almost. But grabbing a blind man's cane to learn about a justice system seems a little... wrong.] In the meantime, I would enjoy it if you would tell me what you can.
no subject
Let me finish up here, and we can find somewhere less crowded to talk? Unless you had something else you needed to do.
no subject
[Which means he has all the time in the world to hear about this, much to Matt's bad luck.
The longer he goes not moving, the more unsettled the people around them get, so Justice makes the decision to back up a little to get out of the way and let Matt take care of his transaction in peace. The distance calms the people down, but not by much.]
no subject
After Matt steps back with a bundle of bedsheets under his arm, he looses his cane from the strap around his wrist and offers Justice a smile.] If you don't mind leading the way? Let's go somewhere quiet.
no subject
[Justice found a quiet spot on the edge of the city before. He can find it again. He just starts walking again, keeping an eye on Matthew to make sure he doesn't fall behind or get separated.]
no subject
You have a very distinct sound when you walk, [Matt notes cheerfully.] Lots of clinking, what is that?
no subject
I am in full plate armor. I acted as a swordsman previous to coming here.
['Acted as'. He's not inherently a swordsman. He possessed the corpse of a swordsman so he naturally continued being a swordsman, but Justice as a spirit can be a swordsman just as easily as a mage. It depends on what he possesses or what people expect from him.]
no subject
That's a curious choice of terms. 'Acted as.' You mean you weren't one? [Because you can bet he picked up on that, and is choosing to pick on Justice's vocabulary rather than the fact that he's wearing full plate armor and most likely looks like a corpse.]
no subject
[How to put this delicately...]
I was forced into the body of a dead swordsman, so I worked as a swordsman. If I had been forced into the body of a dead mage, I would have likely worked as a mage.
[Yes, that is the definition of delicate.]
no subject
...I see. [YUP. Honestly this is just more testimony, no way to verify or discredit. He's just taking it alllll in.]
Well, that explains it.
no subject
Indeed.
[Justice comes to a park that begins to bleed into the wilderness away from the buildings. He leans on a bench whose legs have already begun to be overgrown, taking a moment to stare out at the view.
The mortal world really is so beautiful.]
Is this quiet enough for you?
no subject
This'll do fine. [It's removed enough so that Matt can tune out the hubbub of the bazaar, at least, and he doesn't plan to be here very long anyway. He can definitely work with this.] Now. Where should we begin?
