[Matt abruptly stops walking, pulling his hand from Billy's elbow to hang onto the grip of his cane, face turned in his direction. There's no reason to get too suspicious, but in a place like this? The odds of meeting someone who knows his name, what he does, even if it's just the Matt Murdock side? Slim. Very slim.]

He may not be superhero-ing yet. This could even be an alternate reality where he never becomes Daredevil. AUs are a huge pain in the ass...

Absently he knows he should be at least a little concerned- Daredevil is a master of his craft and could do plenty of damage before he could get a spell off, though he's confident he could escape if he had to. But it's hard not to be kind of... excited? Yeah, excited. Getting accosted by Matt Murdock in a dark alley like some kind of criminal is pretty damn cool.]

Matt snaps his fingers in Billy's face, a little thrown by the trip-trapping heart of a boy decidedly not afraid of getting his face punched in.] Focus. I want answers.

Still, the kid hadn't been lying about not having ill intentions, and he is just a kid who hasn't yet pulled a gun on anybody or really displayed...any aggression, like at all, so after a tense moment Matt finally backs off a little bit, at least so he's not shoving Billy against the bricks. His jaw's still tight, because one of his most closely kept secrets just fell out of the mouth of some overexcited teenager, but he needs to get to the bottom of this and the 'scare 'em shitless' approach hasn't yielded favorable results. Yet.]

I know whatever's been made public, [Matt tells him shortly, annoyed that his question was answered with a question. NEVER GO ON THE STAND. You suck.] Just get to the point.
