[He couldn't sense her anymore which was answer enough for him, but she'd just brought up darkspawn nightmares, so he hoped that was a good enough excuse to bring it up.]

I... yes, it is. Allen removed it. After he separated you and Justice, and we realized your taint was gone, I asked him to do the same. To be able to be rid of it, even if only here. It was too much to pass up.

[His smile is genuine even as his guts twist a bit. He was glad, she deserved to be free of the taint more than any, she could be happier, at least here, with it gone.

But it had been Allen again. Allen, who was no longer here and Maker only knew if he'd come back. He'd have to find something on his own.

I do. It's so strange. I've had it for so long that I'd forgotten what it felt like to not have it.

[She does miss the stamina boost, though. But it's a small price to pay.]

I understand, we'd had it for ten years apiece. It definitely felt like a the first breath of real fresh air after all that time.

Yes, that exactly. Though I do miss the physical benefits of it, but, oh well. [She smiles a little.] At least we're free of it, even if only here.

That stamina and such was nice. [And it definitely had it's uses beyond battle and healing, but he wasn't going to say anything like that to Riona.]

But I think this is better. Here, at least, we can live as we'd like, even if it might not stay that way if we go back. [His expression dulled and he frowned a little.] Rather, when would be more accurate, I guess.

Probably 'when', yes. Even if it doesn't feel like that'll ever happen. But until that time comes, best enjoy what we have while we have it.
